  1. The colder the temp the harder to start.. Below 40 I simply don't bother and take the wifes Neon..(Plus it has heat.. Still trying to scrape money for the heater core though that's a little O.T.) Does anyone else have this problem and is there a fix for it?
  2. I have the same problem with my Weber but only seems to do it when the weather is warm/hot.. or after running the car hard. Though when it comes to plugs I have no idea what I am looking at to choose a colder plug.. suggestions? Sorry for the hi-jacking but I thought it may be ok since it pertains to the subject.
  3. Some pretty cool stuff in there but nope.. This was (if memory serves) a one of a kind from subaru. Pic was in a showroom or something similar, I don't believe it had any graphics on it.
  4. Now that I have your attention. Who had the link or pics of this car.. it had a rear spoiler and ground effects.. I can't seem to find it.
  5. At least it is nothing to worry about. Thanks for the help now to wait till the weather clears up.
  6. The car is a ea81 hatch with no emmissions left on on it. (it's all been stripped by previous owner) I replaced the EGR valve but there is no vacuum hose for it simply isnt there. I have had the car for 3 1/2 years and the light never came on b4 but I can't seem to figure it out or find any useful info on what the problem is.. Help the thing is gonna drive me crazy.

Looks like a fun day out for you two.. I Cheated and piled two kids and the wife into the neon, (ya ya give me break already!) and headed for Crystal mountain so the munchkins could play in the snow.. We made a sport of spotting subes.. I'd say 115 in 45 minutes isnt too shabby.
  8. If the EA82 is anything like the EA81 then you remove the nut on the bottom of the lower control arm then remove the bolt that holds it into the steering knuckle. without any kind of puller put a scissor jack and a 2x4 under the control arm touching the bolt and giver her a lift.. the bolt should come loose but may need a bit of hard steel loving by way of hammer. Then you find the groove on the back of the steering knuckle and tap a screw driver or wedge into it and wiggle the ball joint out.. If it doesn't someone else wil l have to help you.
  9. I replaced my old lights with the silver stars and my lights still seem dim and are still yellow but a lighter shade.
  10. My front end was jacked up a bit but as I brought both sides down (as evenly as I could) they dropped to different levels. So I have to lower one side more than the other. All in all my severe tire wear is down to just annoying.. hopefully will have some free time one weekend soon to finish the job.
  11. The only other thing i saw was the Loctite version.. available pretty much everywhere so long as it's in stock.
  12. The hatch is like 150# lighter than the brat.. and the scale at work shows a little over 1800.. but then again dont know when it was last calibrated.
  13. That will just make it convenient for the sube shows during the summer.
  14. I highly recommend running a new constant power wire. The factory wire is insufficient to power newer decks.. I would say between 12-14 AWG wire. It is easy. The ground and ACC power are ok to use the factory wires though.. A test light may take about ten minutes to find the correct wires but makes a wiring diagram unnecessary.
  15. Is there a fix for screwed up drivers seat in an 86 EA81 hatch?.. I feel like one of the dropped (I think I am cool) Honda owners.. The seat decided it didn't want to stay upright anymore.
  16. Dang Noah people are still catching their breath from the show and you want plans for the Xmas tree run already? It should be late Nov or early Dec.. start looking for the thread around October.
  17. Offroading Subies. It's a challenging/fun thing.
  18. Very cool Jamie. It is good to see Subes get a little more attention.
  19. I talked to him about the Legacy. it's 2WD and that is all he had, the one on the traier belongs to someone else.
  20. Three people come to mind to ask 1) Moosens 2) Richierich 3)bajavwsubenut If they dont have a clue nobody will
  21. I will answer the deck Q first.. The adapter plate will also be a spacer so depth should not be an issue. And as for amp sub etc.. those in the end are all personal preference.. If you want I can post up some places online (not ebay) that I trust and use fairly regularly.. Or I have an MTX roadthunder 10 in a box that I used for about a month and a lightening audio 4 channel amp that I have no need for ( used for about 2 months).. The amp will run your 6x9s or front speakers and the sub if you want them.. PM me if you want to know more. Mike
  22. I see. some shops may have to order the plate but no biggy.
  23. Rob you didnt have anyone specific in mind did ya?
