  1. I have a 91 ea82 autovagen , that is spfi , just did a tune up / plugs wires cap rotor / on it 5 k miles ago . running great , yesterday it started idling rough. and the acceleration off idle is sluggish . after 1500 rpm is does ok . it hesitates at the low end . it will do 65 mph no problem . im thinking egr , or mabe idle air circuit ? . the check engine light is on now too .
  2. I did the same mod , The oem springs are not strong enough you need to use the springs that jesek says to use , its a great set up and will lift the back about 2 inches over stock .

  4. they are staked in , you can remove some material with a dremel grinder , and rent a c press (ball joint press) from advanced auto and remove them. then you have to hand fit the new u joints in , they cant be too tight ,as to distort the joint going in , but they have to be tight enough to hold them square , the new joints use clips to retain them.
  5. is the fuel pump relay one of the four relays under the dash above the fuse panel ?
  6. key on engine off it cycles the pump for a second , it doesn't always do that . when I don't hear the pump cycle, that's when it wont run
  7. 1992 loyal spfi , key on not cranking . the fuel pump intermittently will not run . I just replace the pump with a known good one . but it is used . could it be the pickup coil is dirty ? what else could it be ?

  10. I have a 1991 loyale spfi , I am having to bang on the fuel pump a couple times a day . once it starts im good . im wondering if its a ground problem . what is the most common cause of this .
  11. this clean 1985 4x4 sedan on ebay has a weird air set up , it looks like it has been converted to r134a , but the rotation sensor for the compressor is different , is this a retro fit air kit ? , and do the 1985 gl ,s have a black air box. just wondering how stock this is. or has it been restored ?

  14. It has 56.000 k on it , original . I was going to use it as a commuter. very little wear on the steering wheel and the heat controls .

  16. does anyone know if the fenders doors headlights from a 1998 forrester are the same as a 1999 , they look the same, I have a 1998 parts car, and a 1999 came up on craigs list for a good price, but its all dented and busted. I would like to combine the 2 for a nice cheap ride . thanks.........
  17. check the coolant temp sensor . if it was just idle I would check the idle air solonoid
  18. Is it hard to convert a ea82t to a ea82, I have an opportunity to get a nice T wag with bad head gaskets . Is it as easy as putting in a ea82 , or is there a different ecu and wiring harness crap ?.
  19. if you use a one step paint no need for a clear coat . if you use a base coat/clear coat system then clear coat is the final step .

  21. can you small gear lube ? dead giveaway
  22. a brake can lock up mechanically or hydraulically , push the brakes and then if the wheel locks up ,loosen the bleeder screw, if the brake releases itshydraulic , I have had rebuilt calipers that have been bad and the piston seizes . if the brake locks up after the bleeder screw is loose than the caliper pins need to be cleaned and lubed . or the piston is stuck.
  23. 1987 gl 4x4 ....Are there any lower control arm bushings out there any more ?. im having problems finding anything .
