  1. I have the same year wagon , and same problem , think its cool especially when I'm being tailgated by some looser

  3. what are your driving habits , do you do a lot of short trips ? , many short 2 to 10 mile trips in a row ... , its been warmer and alot more rain here in the east .

  5. you could search craigs list and compair prices in your area. in my area the scrap value is 300 or so dollars , if it was rust free , i would offer somone around 500 . but thats in michigan , not sure about your area

  7. had a heck of a time with timing belt covers , not one cover came off without a fight. it was so much easyer to set timing . I did not install either inner or outer covers , we have alot of slush and snow , ill find out if it really works...
  8. could you be hitting the center spacer when trying to re asymble it ?
  9. wow lots going on there, usally a clicking sound is a drive shaft problem , when a diff goes out you uslly feel it vibrating or humming , bad rubber mounts can cause a similar thing . do the drive shafts click with the bumps in the road ??

  12. my cam seal holder , or what ever there called . from a 1986 gl carbed ea82. has a v shaped seal , I was under the impression that they were o rings . any way , I cant seem to find one locally, can I use an off the shelf o ring , or do these half to be v shaped .. thanks
  13. Is it actually worth installing speedy sleeves on the cams, there is a slight groove on them, 196.000 miles worth , I'm just hesitating on spending 35 dollars a piece on them.
  14. The cork gasket does indeed blow , I agree with this approach , I go one step further and flatten the oil pan surface with a body hammer , and also file the high spots, they are usually over torqued and have high spots around the bolt holes. I have had good results with this as well.

  17. wow I would think it would ber cheaper to get a good used transmission from a salvage yard, they last forever, well i guess yours didnt, but they are pretty hardy

  20. the Bosch relays are far superior to OEM, they should outlast the car
  21. all you need is snap ring pliers for the inner joint , thats assuming you have the shaft off already, rock auto has the cv boot kit on sale now, beck arnley kits start at $2.58 dollars + shipping. kit includes rubber boot ,small and large otiker style clamps,snap retainer ring, and the grease.. awesome deal

  23. i was able to get r12 on ebay last summer, about 25 bucks a can
  24. inner tie rods rarely fail, unless the rack boots go bad, the rack bushings could be worn as well. is there play up and down ?
