  1. Anyone have photos of the SJR rear bumper with the swing are and trailer hitch? I'd like to see it from another angle. Can't wait to buy one! Me wants a boat Thanks -Tom
  2. I remember you talking about Ruby like last year, Can't wait to see the motor swap and other pics! -Tom
  3. Yes I wouldn't use any washers on the lug studs (To me it would put to much stess on the lugs and studs) I wouldn't use spacers either. What covers/caps are you using? and can you see why they are hitting so they don't go flush? I can't think of any reason why the covers wouldn't fit now, theres nothing in the way on the rear disc brakes (Like the front) I can see them hitting if you had the rear drums with that extra lip on them (Like mine) Can you post a picture or two? -Tom
  4. Very nice video, good music to use too! I would like to hear them as they drive by though, but its still a cool video/photo mix. Nice job and thanks for sharing. -Tom
  5. Ooo nice! I like the roll cage (Safari style) Whooot! Looks like a fun little car, I like these ideas you posted. Can't wait to see it after all that! -Tom
  6. Rob, aww thats too bad. but it would take alot of fab work indeed, need to make a support(s) for the sides and then try rigging a gate... Sounds like a job. "If you can't lift it you don't need it" Lol guess its true Ooo that'd get the people to stop sucking my rump roast (Hose'em down) Hehe!! -Tom
  7. Oh hoo hoo! Looks nice. EA81T!!! What color is that anyway? Nice score
  8. Hmm, everything on my '92 EA82 is solid. No play in the column. You have tilt? All I have is, you can move the whole column up or down. No tilt that I know of (Funny how I don't know that small detail, but know more major things Lol) Yours could just be worn from the other owner(s). maybe pulling on it getting in and out (Not what its made to indure) Just a thought -Tom
  9. Are you and Bill going to try and make usable tailgate? or has this been takin' care of already? Wondering how your gonna do that.. Keeping the drfrost is a good idea (It'll help since you arn't gonna have a wiper) Also, are you going to get 14s? with maybe a 25.6" tire (won't rub then) unless ur gonna stick a lift on aswell. oh the ideas are rolling in now hey!! -Tom
  10. I was thinking about that idea of using a Wagon for a UTE or a Brat again, I was pondering why I havn't seen a Quad cab EA82 Brat..? You wouldn't have to deal with the rear doors and you'd have like a 3ft bed. Has anyone done this yet? I think it would look cool. -Tom Rob, sorry for jacking. just wanted to post this thought
  11. Welcome to the board! Very nice L-Series, looks down right niffty with the 6-lug conversion. Hope to see more of ur wagon. Nice photo chop btw, Bill is right though. Starting with a Coupe' is easier, you don't need to tend with the rear doors. But still looks cool -Tom PS: Have you heard of AUSubaru.com? Its an Australian Subaru group. I like it very much, great people just like on here.
  12. I've noticed the same thing with my wagon, those side storage compartments tend to have dust in there from time to time, hmmm? How? I've also noticed if I'm doing bondoglass work and sanding thats the first/only spot that will have some bondo dust inside. Just strange. I would also check the front window seal, I get some water spots on the inside of my front window off and on, but it doesn't leak when I drive in pooring rain, just odd.. Hope you find your problrm -Tom
  13. So you guys don't like the EA82 single headlights? I like them better then a 4 eyes. but Briggs is right, opinions are good -Tom

But I already run 26" tires, not are nobby but still big and deep tread. I'd like a D/R someday! I'm happy at the moment though :-p
  15. From what I know, the GLs rad is the same as the Loyales (As long as their both automatic) I'm sure a few others will pop in -Tom
  16. Briggs, Didn't you just stick a EA82 lamp in a Brat? Thats something I havn't seen yet, why not retrofit EA82 lamps and corner lights into a EA81 Brat? I think it would be cool, might look odd though, cause isn't the front of an EA82 a bit wider then a Brat or EA81? -Tom
  17. Huh, thats good to know. I always thought there was some metel inside the rubber moldings (Is there?) -Tom

Oh cool! I like those tires, I'll get some more aggressive tires after these BFGs start getting crappy (Won't be for a few years) But my BFGs are still waaay better then the 13" Douglas I had lol.. The fender(s) don't look to bad, you could still clean it up a bit with an air cut-off. "I'll get you, and your little Prius too" HAHAHA!! -Tom
  19. Yes, very nice idea.. Looks good on the RX! I guess cause it has the side skirts and bumper fairings and such, now removing the moldings on a stock EA82 might look odd (Too much open space) but might have the same effect. I hate those plastic tabs, I broke two when I removed them from the old rotted fenders P.I.T.A! Nice job though, keep it up. -Tom
  20. Bill, Haha well I wasn't gonna attempt to something like this anytime soon Hehe. I was just wondering for smaller things (Patch job, making home made bumpers, exhaust and such) I figure a Mig would be better then a Arc. Yes the shop is a bit cluttered, but I've done more in our garage with less space LMAO, wasn't the funnest. but I got done what was needed. :-p 30s and a 4" would rock! you could drive over Mazdas Muhahahaaaaa!! -Tom
  21. Oh that would kick rump roast if you could rig up the rear wiper! (Keeps the snow off the window) Nice idea Jeff -Tom
  22. Robbie and Bill, Lookin' AWESOME!! I need to learn how to weld better, Bill, are you using a Arc or a Mig? My Lincoln Weldpak 100 is a Arc, I was thinking of converting it to a Mig, I've heard its a little easier to use then an Arc. Sorry for chattering on and on. Anyhoo, Rob. Are you gonna add small side windows in those angled peices? This is gonna look diabetic when its done! (Super sweet lol) -Tom

Scooby, Thank you, can you post a recent picture of urs? Lol a "BFH" is that what I think that is Hahaha! Anyhoo, yea I just cut the front fenders instead of bashing them (I would have had to bach too much with out the lift) I'm glad I did the lift. I didn't use any x-member blocks (Axle has about 1/2" clearence from the x-member/lower control arm mounting spot) and hasn't hit yet, it'll only hit if you jack the car off the ground (So I don't think I'll be jumping it any time soon Lol) I'm not Colin McRae It is a DD, and I would love to get into some serios mud some day, but I havn't a place to do so I was lucky to get those "Off the road" shots. I do wash my car (Use water to get anything off, then I use hand wax or spray wax) been doing that since 2006. I never use soap on the body (Takes old wax off) you want to keep the wax built up to protect the paint. anyway, us WI people need to get together sometime. from what I know, I don't think their are amny old gen owners in WI : -Tom
  24. Bill, sweet thanks! Rob, wow taking shape very quickly hey! Man I can't wait ot see more, so what are your naybors saying? (Prolly saying, "What a hick") same crap my naybors say after I lifted the wagon They don't know whats cool, but us Subaru'ers do Best of luck, -Tom
