  1. HAHA, that is an idea. xbeerd did something like that to a Probe. Nah, its a temp winter fix.
  2. I need to take a current picture of this thing. I think most of ya'll will be disappointed with what I did LOL. It involves 22ga galvanized sheet metal, two screws with nuts and expanding foam (OH NO!!!) Oh yes!!!
  3. LOL! That was funny. Just checking
  4. Some Amber fog lights would look proper on this thing... Wonder where they are?
  5. I found this kinda interesting. Enjoy! http://autos.yahoo.com/news/2013-scion-fr-s-vs--2012-porsche-cayman-s.html
  6. I made a step in the right direction tonight while at O'reillys. I bought my self some new exhaust studs (M10x1.25) with my employee discount it was like $6 for two packs or "Help!" brand studs. I also bought stainless bolts for my PS pump pulley today, looks better. I still need Stainless nuts/washers for the motor mounts. Kenny, I put a lot of gusto into this car, because they don't fall out of the sky around these parts. These dried up in the junkyards probably 10yrs ago, and most were junked because of rust more or less. When you find one that is somewhat intact, you have to go all out to keep it.
  7. I bought Stainless hose clamps later that night. Now it looks finished!
  8. They've only been on there since 2006 lol! They are useless now with the HIDs. I'm gonna swap them for LightForce lights sometime.
  9. They are rusted and garbage. I'm building a new header, why bother use the old crap? Its a resto! :-p
  10. Motor mounts = BSing as they told you. Ok, since I didn't read every post. The ECU was replaced, and probably not the issue. Did they check out the Coil pack/Igniter box (Or whatever this car uses for spark) Coil induction? Are they sure its not a fuel delivery problem?
  11. OH! I thought you meant you had 3.700 gears. I wonder if there are any hop-ups for the R160 since the Nissan/Datsun guys use these in their cars. Would be nice to install a new LSD!
  12. Glad you found some helpful threads. Yeah driving it with higher than normal voltage is gonna start damaging some of the electrical system. Heated parking....
  13. If I remember right, yes, the water running down the firewall is most likely from the windshield gasket or rust in the gasket seat. Tach jumping is likely to be the disty as well. The EA82 disty uses shaft bearings unlike the EA81s which use brass sleeves which wear out to much quicker. Best way to check your disty, it see how much play is in the rotor shaft, there shouldn't be any side to side play, and very little up/down play. What is your volt gauge showing? Anything higher than 14v? I remember when my Alternator regulator was failing, my tach jumped around (As there was some type of back feed through the system) Test and see what the alt is pushing out if you don't have the volt gauge. At warm idle, it'll push out about 14v.
  14. This is moist as hell. Gotta step up my game a little. :-p
  15. I knew the Brat was roomier inside! I am probably gonna by the other adaptor you posted anyhow. I may just buy both if I feel lucky. AHHH, I need to build a damn header pronto. I need flanges made. Gonna check out what I have for local CNC shops, if I can't find anything, Jon, I will be knocking on your door!
  16. I got 93oct for $3.78/gal today. Yes, the R160 is the same through the years (Even Legacy diffs are R160s) the 3.900 will need to be matched in the front as well though. Kinda surprised yours doesn't have 3.900, mind does.
  17. Looks spot on! Is that a 5spd and a Legacy centre console in there!?
  18. WOW! Awesome, SOLD! Which one should I get? I think the MOMO one looks good, the spline section looks good. Which one would you get?
  19. From what I read in that thread you posted, MOMO/Nardi (Other manufactures) share the same 6 hole diameter for their hub adaptors. The steering wheel I bought doesn't list any specs, other than steering wheel diameter which is 13.8" or something. I am betting the MOMO/Nardi adaptor offered by Boss/SAAS will work for this cheap wheel, or could be fab'ed to do so. Bennie, once I have enough money. Would you be willing to order the adaptor in which we're talking about (Will send you link) I can paypal you the full amount plus shipping to the U.S for it. Let me know whenever. In other news, I need to find some local CNC'est so I can have the header flanges made, so I can get some headway on making this header. Can't drive the car until I make one!
  20. Just did it. Ordered the wheel. Now, since this is a 6-hole mount, the Boss/SAAS adaptor should work right? I think this will be the same pattern at Nardi ect. Now, where can I get the 13-BK121L adaptor? AU seller has them, but does not ship to the U.S (Plus I don't have $80 yet)
  21. Slant Console!! I love that you can stick an aftermarket radio in them, but I hate that the radio is at a flippin' slant. I like things flat (Which is why I drive Subaru)
  22. Good links Mick, the last link to the thread includes the info for the SAAS wheel adaptor. So, I've been looking at ebay (Yeah I know) I actually want a deep dish style wheel, deep dish wheels look nice, kinda old school muscle car. I like the steering wheel from the Falcon (Mad Max) Looks something like this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/350mm-Deep-Dish-Style-PVC-Plastic-Racing-Steering-Wheel-JDM-Black-Red-Stitch-/310450565998?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item48484bb36e&vxp=mtr I think I am gonna buy this one. Do you think the SAAS adapter will work on this?
