  1. Stupid question, but would some rainx on the inside help this as well.
  2. I hear them switching, from floor, to window, to vent.
  3. Hey at least my old subaru starts. Dohhh:rolleyes:
  4. Honestly i dont mind the snow, but the artic temps we get here sometimes id ratter not have. You may not of noticed the cancer on my car. But yea the 4wd works great.
  5. Definately need to flush the heater core. I changed the blower motor this summer so i know thats pretty clear. I have ac but the belt isnt hooked onto the compressor. The only way i can get heat through the vents it seems is to hit the A/C switch.
  6. Me and the wifes van in the last few shots. And this isnt the end, its suspost to last till 6 this afternoon.
  7. I dont have a heating problem per-say. But when driveing around my windshield kept freezing over and fogging when i didnt have it on the windshield function. I cant seem to keep the inside windows from fogging, and keep the heat on vent. What is a good setting to cure this. Or is my heating system just not circulating well enough. It just seems strange, every other car ive had seems to have a vent on the outside to heat the windshield. Or maybe ive just thought this. Any ideas. I get heat in the car fine. Its not super, ouch burn my hand hot but its hot.
  8. I was passin people left and right.
  9. Tell your mom that youve got a subaru and your good to go.
  10. This is the one time of year when my car shines.
  11. Its so bad they cancled work for me before i could even come in. So, who in central iowa wants to go out and play. Maybe pull some sorry saps out of the ditch.
  12. No sorry if i didnt clarify. I have fuel injection. But i sprayed some lub on the linkage and alittle on the cable and didnt freeze up tonight. The real test will be tomorrow before work. It will have sat 19 hours and its suspost to get super cold with lots of snow. It gets pretty cold here sometimes but lately its only been in the 20s 30s
  13. It still keeps hanging up. Its not the cable, its the linkage on the throttle body. So i sprayed some lube on it today and well see if that works. If not its back to the drawing board. Like i said, after the car warms upa bit it works fine. Ben
  14. Why would i replace the cable, it seems fine.
  15. Oh the original poster said it needed a HG so i figured just rip the whole thing out and do it right.
  16. Ok so its been a bit cold here lately but not that cold, so i go out the car yesterday. Give it my usual tap on the gas and it froze. I pump it once and sticks to the floor. As predicted, start it up and throttle is wide open. I was able to kinda work it lose so it drove to work fine. After work, did the same thing. I ended up getting under the hood and moving the piviot point on the throttle body so it didnt idle so high but it was stuck in that position until i was able to work that free. So, is this something i can just lube up or is something potentially broken. It doesn stick after its been warmed up and the cable and mechanism work fine. Just seems like when its super cold out it will do this. Any ideas. Ben
  17. rip the whole thing out and do a refresh - reseal job.
  18. Ok i just checked, i dont get the check engine upon startup but everywhere else. What do i do to get to this thing and change the bulb.
  19. Ok so, i took off the dead electric fan today and have just the clutch type one from the AC unit. I was curious of the offroaders prefer this type of fan since it wouldnt fail buy getting wet. Or if anyone could recomend a aftermarket fan that fits into that compartment. You can pick up some 14 or 16 inch electric fans for 33bucks or less. Ben
  20. What does the CEL light look like, becaust i dont think mine shows on when startup.
  21. Yep, no cel and runs the same so ill plug it. Plugging the line is easy but nothing really to hook onto the broken piece. I could probally get one cheap from a car being parted out;) if it would make it that much easier of a repair.
  22. I was changing out my t-stat and bumped this thing wich snapped off. What is it and what is its purpose.
