1997 Legacy Fuel Issue
Just curious how common this is. My brothers legacy only takes 12 gallons to fill up when it is just above E. So my question is there a reserve fuel system in this car or do the fuel gauges tend to go south on these. Or is the tank full of crud. Ben

Your Suby Snow Stories Good or Bad
Going along great, crank angle sensor fixed the problems and they had a junk engine they were sending to subaru for a core so they pulled it off that and charged him for the diagnostics and alittle bit of labor. He did find out that one of the snowflake wheels is bent so hes on the search for a new one. Its wobbles pretty good but i think it would be good enough for a full size spare. Now on to the cleanup cuz this thing is nasty.

Your Suby Snow Stories Good or Bad
So last night i ditch work to take a friend out to pleasant hill so he can get a car. He totaled his last week. Now my car (guido) hasnt been running on par lately. His manifold leak has him way underpowered and lack of heat is really annoying. Especially when its -10. So the roads are terrible, going 35 on the street and passing every tom, wongleflute and harry pokeing along. We hit the highway big mistake. Black ice everywhere. Now ive never driven on the highway when it gets like this but its the worst ive ever seen. Police and towtrucks pulling cars out of the ditch. Flipped suvs everywhere. Cars and trucks all over the ditch, just terrible. Guido was no exception, the black ice tried to take him but never did. When i started slideing sideways just downshifted and countersteered. Never been so scared white knuckled in my life. As much as i complain about this car it has always started in this bitter cold a** weather and has yet to let me down. Just tears up the snow. I can only imagine if i had some really good snow tires on. On a side note my friend was freaking out thinking this was a mistake, i told him not to worry and have faith in the suby. Hes buying a 08 cobalt but i know he was thinking subaru after that night.

Exhaust on a 86 ea82 gl wagon
Ive heard keep the muffler but get rid of the midpipe. That accounts for a more throatier sound but not so annoying.
-
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Oh and after relooking at the exhaust studs you could buy i can see why you would suggest the all thread. You just have more contace with the metal and not the space inbetween.

DING DING DING we have a winner. Crank Angle Sensor. It runs perfect now. But its still at ramsey getting the check engine and some other things taken care of. Ramsey was pretty nice on the deal. Kinda supriseing.

It just depends on your situation tom, i mean i want to fix my car to but im not about to do anything in this weather unless absolutely necessary. Sounds like yours is going quickly where mine is definately more weather prone. It gets worse in the winter. Ive got worse problems then that right now. I have hardly any power under accell because the friggin header pipe is off the head, and loud as ****

Newer Legacy Some Questions
Ok well it stayed running long enough to get it to autozone. But they said because the check engine light wasnt on they werent going to check the codes. After argueing that it didnt work they still said no way. So we ended up takeing it to the local subaru dealership :-\ (ramsey aka nevermind) so they can have a crack at it. On a side note on the way back we spotted an 02 Subaru WRX for sale. 91k 5 speed, nice and clean for 7k. My brother says if this turns out to be a lemon hes gonna trade it in on that one. He didnt want a payment but we drove the car and its much nicer then the legacy.

Weather Related
So was having a hellava time today driveing my car. I dont think it likes -14 temps. Something interesting with the heater again. When i put it on floor vents i noticed the needle went way down to the cold positon but when i put it on vent it went up to the halfway mark. Is the cold just messing around with me or is something amiss.

My 94 Isuzu Amigo
I had an isuzu pup and man it was a good lil truck but man it rusted so bad on the frame one good hard smack and it would snap in half. Mine had 33inch tires on it though. The HGs like to go on these as well. Looks nice though, get some more agressive tires and youve got a good offroad rig.
