  1. Yes sir i have seen posts about the accord, tempo springs but nothing about useing them with 2 inch lift blocks on the shocks. Only useing them buy them selves. A few who posted on here knew what i was talking about. Sheesh.
  2. I can get the setup i want buy just getting the 2inch lift. I was just curious if anyone had tried that. I doubt i could even find a late 80s accord in the jy anymore. But this is how i want my lift and tires to turn out. I think you recognize the handy work oneeye.
  3. I find that 1st quote really funny as i was thinking that today. Walking past guido in the parking lot (again i get the wtf look). They are polar oposites of eachother.
  4. :-\ No i had read in the past here about useing accord springs up front and tempo springs in the back or vice versa to get an xtra inch of clearance. And Markus56 that is exactly the answer i was looking for. Overstreaching the axels. Point taken and will purchase a proper lift when funds available. Thank you all for your imput.
  5. Check out your brake lines. From being buy constant moisture they tend to rot quickly on farm cars.
  6. But you want an arm and a leg for them :-\ Not saying you overcharge, just thats a expensive tire. Do i need to start a guido build thread.
  7. Buy examining the area im thing 2x2 and large hammer. Hopefully this will do the trick.
  8. Yea, no point in lifting that big if i cant afford the tires for it. Just looking for something simple and was curious if anyone had tried this yet.
  9. Alrighty ill just stick with the 2 inch until i can afford something bigger. But then again you PNW boys dont seem to need much more sometimes.
  10. Are you saying that would work for 3inches of lift
  11. Yea mine is heavy because i run speakers in the hatch. But the struts were on there way out. When it gets warmer out ill try stomping it back into place.
  12. Poor ford, from what i can tell it could probally use all 4 struts on the corners. Inner and outer tie rod ends and an alignment. The struts alone are 500 bucks
  13. 2 inch lift with the tempo / accord spring trick. Totaling 3 inches.
  14. My brothers Legacy GT has a non function check engine light and possibly a low fuel light. What can i do to fix this. Do i change out a lightbulb or do i need to change out the whole dash. Ben
  15. Thats the idea man. I tell ya honestly as big and comfy this newer car is. And how hot the heat is in this thing. Im really missin my soob. But the poor old guy needed a break. Ive got parts to put into the old boy ive been holding back on doing due to its daily use. Waiting on my 2 inch lift and working out a few other things. Get rid of guido, ill get rid of the newer car before i get rid of guido.
  16. One more thing vanishing. Until you become a known member you need to put what type of car you have. I know you did in a latter post but there are so many (older) subarus that you need to be specific. My car is a 88 subaru DL which has a single range only. Things like that people will pick up on quickly.
  17. It might of been covered. But those are nissan wheels, what type of vehicle did these come on.
  18. Vanishing, no need to apoligize. People on here should be alittle more understanding to noobs, especially young guys like yourself who are likely wrenching for the 1st time. I can understand how they feel though having to answer the same questions posted all the time over and over again. I hope it doesnt turn you off from this websight. One of the easiest thing to do is ask the parts store. Tell them what year and make you have and they might be able to give you a better idea. Though parts stores:rolleyes: have been known to get it wrong from time to time. You will find out that throughout 85-94 these cars pretty much stayed the same. From 88-94 they all recieved fuel injection. 90-94 they only had single range transmissons. But most of the nuts and bolts remained the same. The difference in sway bars depends if you had a rx, xt6, turbo things like that. But you have just a normal touring wagon so whatever is most common for sway bars is what you have. Dont get discouraged and i encourage you to work on your own car. Some things i do think a professional or someone with vast knowledge should try to do. But easy things like your brakes, tuneup, and whatnot sholuld be done buy you. It bonds you with your car and makes you more knowledgeable about basic automotive function. I wouldnt know anything i know today if i didnt listen to those older then me and much more profeciant in cars. I still learn to this day new things. Replaced my 1st pair of struts and sway bar links last weekend. p.s im not attacking anyone here im just trying to encourage all to be more patient when it comes to people new here asking questions. Most dont know that there is only 1 other wheel you can use on this bolt pattern. I know it gets tiresome but were here to help.
  19. Is it just me, or does it look like you could get some coupe glass to fit in the back there.
