Sweet! That'll look sooooo good next to my "Roxy and Kingcrab" set! They've got a "shake the fudge out of the front struts", "flood the floorboards", "slap those loose t-belts around" and "create a massive electrical short due to suspect wiring techniques" options!! -

Nice bro!! Lights are a MUST!! I'll fab up a light bar and wiring harness for ya if you get me the dimensions! -
I wouldn't consider buying a used vehicle that I hadn't driven. A test drive with the seller in the seat is expected and unless it's a real beater, I wouldn't ask for anything other than that. I understand that they are selling something of value to them so if they want to keep an eye on me while I test drive it then that's no problem at all

I found these two poor relics in Camdenton, MO yesterday... Made me wanna cry!!

@ CD45 Sweet action bro!! I'll go over your list and double check that I can have stuff ready for you! Looking forward to seeing that wagon of yours again! You oughta put the Brat on a tow bar and haul it up here behind ya! Maybe you'll be able to drive it home!! It looks like we're going to have a reasonable turn out!! So I called my local dealer for a price on a t-stat for my '88DL wagon... They couldn't find it in the system but found one for a '93 Loyale with the 1800 engine so I'm figuring it's the same EA82... Long story short they want $54 and change for it!!

Why the legal 4 Watts of course!! I've seen it do over 60 when it's got 19v running into it... Conservative estimate on an standard car battery input is probably in the 35w-45w range... I also have the pre-driver volted when modulating so that helps to heat things a little

I wound up winning   :headbang:

Unfortunately, what it costs ME and what it would cost the next guy are apples and oranges. I've got access to a full machine shop (mills, lathes, welders, polishers, waterjet, etc.) as well as a lot of scrap material at no cost so there's things that I would be able to do that might not be repeatable w/out someone else spending a whole swag of money. I'm thinking on what route I would use if I was to attempt a build on the EA82T. My main reason for being interested in it is that I have all that stuff at my disposal and an engine gathering dust in my parts car so why the heck not give it a try?

Woo Woo... I've got a few from the StL crew looking at heading down... (http://www.stlsubaru.com) they're some stand up guys up there albeit mostly new gen -
If ya think it's a stupid question then don't even bother replying... or ask for more parameters instead of just shooting out a post that doesn't help at all... *I apologize if this is abrasive or rude, I'm in a crap mood and just needed some ballpark numbers... thanks to those who have given that.

StL Subaru meet on the weekend

Crappy scans... I'll get some better ones when I have a chance -
Thank you Joostvdw, that's the kind of info I was hoping to get.

Thanks Brian, I understand what Reveen was saying but I'm in a sh*&house mood today and just want a few answers.

I just got back from a meet with the STLSUBARU.com crew. Had a pretty good time... The Brat was the only oldgen vehicle there. Was kinda hoping moodyblue would show up and give me a little support. We all cruised out for a photo shoot but thanks to a little confusion involving the convoy getting split, me being unfamiliar with where we were heading to and my lack of ability to keep up with a group of '04 STi's and a Legacy GT I wasn't able to find and rejoin the group for the photo shoot. I've got a roll of film in for developing right now and I'll post those pics up shortly. Meanwhile, here's a link to the gallery on the STLSUBARU site. clicky We had a pretty darn good turn out!!

Looking to hypothesize here. IF the HG issue was resolved AND there was sufficient cooling available AND fuel delivery was taken care of, what would be the top HP that you could expect to see out of an EA82T?
-
Cheers guys, I appreciate it! My Brat's an '82 and I'm about to start a restoration on it so I need to get things all figured out! I'll get back to ya on the brackets for $8.00... I managed to make it to a Subie meet 200+ miles away on the weekend so now my "honey-do" list is about 3 miles long and it's looking EXPENSIVE
