  4. so i was taking a look at my 96 legacy today and i had it up on a lift and i started shaking the passanger front wheel to notice any movement....i noticed a little movement when i grasped the wheel at 6 and 12 oclock and gave her a shake....enough movement that you feel it but you cant really see it.....i also grasped the tire at 3 and 9 oclock and i had NO movement there....the ball joints are good and the tie rods are good.....i did take a look behind the wheel and i notice NO movement where the axle meets the hub when i give her a shake.......i notice no noise when coming from there while driving.......my question is how much movement is considered "normal"?.....i dont belive its my wheel bearings....because i dont hear anything........any help would be appreciated......

  14. im not exactly sure what years this took place on but i believe it started in like 97 or 99 and it might just be on the 2.2 L....right after startup there were some noises coming from the engine because of new internal componants that subaru considered normal with no fix available.....what kind of engine is it? does it ONLY happen right after you start the car? does it go away when the car is warmed up? Is there a certain RPM range were it occurs?...........is it a grinding? tapping? knocking?
