  3. Well first I would hook up a scan tool to it and see exactly which/ how many cylinders your dealing with....
  4. ok....i have recently been hearing alot about this electronic tool for subarus called the Select monitor III....What exactly is this??? Is it just a manufacturer specific OBD II scanner?

  6. Ok Ok good point....All the EJ series engines over the years......has the subaru 5 spd manual transmission gone unchanged.....by this i really mean gear ratio?
  7. Just had a quick question i wanted to put out there.....i had a guy tell me today that the subaru 5 spd. trans has gone virtually "unchanged" for like 20 years...is this true?....

  10. I have a 96' legacy 2.2 and was wondering were the radiator air vent is located. (when u do a coolant flush or cooling system work it is supposed to be open)? Thanks Fellas still getting used to this subaru thing....there are so many people out there with so much knowledge....

  12. if you are refering to the steering wheel when you say "wheel" i would say go ahead and check your brake rotors to see if they are warped that is most likely the reason your wheel shakes when you depress the brakes and come to a stop....just my experience:) If you can get under the car any way i would also do a through inspection to see if anything is bent/loose..
  13. well if it helps at all....i had my battery light and my brake light come on a few weeks ago.....and a new alternator fixed my problem.....i believe you can have some really weird stuff start to happen with your electrical system if a certain part of the alternator fails (unfortuanately i cant remember what part)......just my experience...

  18. I saw one of these models the other day it looked like a 2nd gen. sedan with a very high ground clearance...Anyways just wondering what the SUS stands for on the rear trunk area?...Was this some sort of special edition? Thank you in advance for you time and knowledge....
  19. The rust spot is extremely small.....not even the size of a small cell phone......i do understand were you are coming from.....it is just an eyesore to me.....and i want to take care of it before it does become a safety concern.

  21. I did change the trans fluid when i did the clutch about 7000 miles ago.....i did notice alot of metal on the drain plug and it was kind of brownish......
