  3. it might be normal.....i have an aftermarket head unit in my saturn and it does it whenever it gets cold enough....just my experience
  4. pretty cool!....you can definatley tell that it raised the rear....
  5. i think from what i hear it is more prone to happen to automatics....but 5 spds do get it......i just started having the effects of it on my 96 Legacy L 5spd so i thought i would mention it
  6. i have seen the ECU and wiring harness on ebay before....there are usually two or three there.....if the swap is successful i would absoultely love to see some pics....and hear everything you had to go through to make it work......good luck!

  8. i believe my rear 02 sensor is 3 wire....thanks for the help guys......i erased the CEL.....so if it comes back i will replace the sensor.....
  9. thanks....by the way which one is sensor 2 is it the one that is in/right after the rear cat?
  10. Ok got a 96' legacy ej22 and on the way to school this morning got a CEL when i got home i pulled the code P0136...02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction ( Bank 1 Sensor 2 ) i was wondering if i should do any testing on this sensor before i go ahead and replace it? oh the car has 187,500 miles and at about 170,000 the exhaust broke off(long story) so the person who owned it just cut the o2 sensor...i have sense soldered the correct wires back together and it was all fine until now. for some odd reason i think this is the origional 02 sensor......any help would be appreciated.....
  11. i think went from 185/70/14 to 205/45/17.... i havent had any problems yet.....well the only problem i had was since my car was lowered i was doing a little rubbing on the drivers front fender....but fixed that problem.....
  12. ok....i have a 1996 Legacy ej22 with a 5spd.....i have ran across two things in the past few days that have left me puzzled.....first..... i keep hearing people say that the non- EGR ej22's DONT have a CEL????? I DO have a CEL and my car has no EGR. second..... i also keep hearing people say that only the automatics and turbocharged vehicles come with a Pressure sensor mounted on the passanger side shock tower?.......i have a pressure sensor and i have a 5 spd manual... ......can anyone clarify anything here for me..... thanks for your time.....
  13. i believe they recommend doing the tie rod ends in pairs....just an FYI....
  14. yeah i wouldnt go to the dealer for that...certain other parts definately but i would try and find some online...i think i picked up 2 of them for like 50$....... I have heard of people duct taping them also.....
  15. yes... you can check the inner and outer tie rod ends by either a doing a dry park test or by jacking up the front end of the car and grasping the tire at 3 and 9 oclock and try to move the tire back and forth and feel/look for excessive play in that area....the dry park test is simple...if you have access to a rack type lift you can drive the car up on the rack and get an assistant to sit in there....raise the vehicle and have the assistant just rock the steering wheel back and forth slightly and look /feel for play at the tie rods that way. I know my steering rack boot tore about 30k miles ago and i just started noticeing symptoms of a bad inner tie rod.....so i just got done replacing the inner and outer tie rod ends and the steering rack boots.....so my opinion would be that if nothing has any excessive play than i would just go ahead and throw the boots on.....than again the car does have alot of miles.......it might be worth it to do it all at once......good luck!
  16. thanks a bunch WA that is much simpler than i previously thought......
  17. thank you very much WA.....thats the kind of info. i was origionally set out for....still a broke school kid so when i start to tackle this project ill most likely make a post.....
