  1. yes...please keep this updated....im really interested to know what they find out.....
  2. i have INTRAX springs on my 96' legacy...they worked great dropped it like 2 inches.....good price too at only like $240.....plus they came with a little sticker for your car....
  3. the flywheel was heat scored and cracked....the car had 180000 miles on it so i figured it was prob time for one....also it was only like 80$ all the parts i got were Sachs with the exception of the clips for the throwout bearing which were from subaru.....the only thing i noticed before the clutch job was obviously the clutch was slippintg unbelieveably bad...i dont believe i heard a noise or anything......im not really that concered with it.....since i know everything tested ok when i put it in....its just annoying....
  4. on the subject of the throwout bearing.....i just replaced my clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, and pilot and throwout bearings (with new clips). I have the exact same noise when in neutral and goes away when i push in the clutch......is it normal to have that noise at all even if it is a new release bearing?
  5. thats intresting....so the 1st gen ej22t's use the same up-pipe as the sti......thanks for the knowledge.......
  6. and im sure you have heard this a thousand times but.....do a carfax if you decide to buy down there ( or at least i would if i was in New Orleans at this time)....Katrina Cars!
  7. it might be normal.....i have an aftermarket head unit in my saturn and it does it whenever it gets cold enough....just my experience
  8. i think from what i hear it is more prone to happen to automatics....but 5 spds do get it......i just started having the effects of it on my 96 Legacy L 5spd so i thought i would mention it
  9. i have seen the ECU and wiring harness on ebay before....there are usually two or three there.....if the swap is successful i would absoultely love to see some pics....and hear everything you had to go through to make it work......good luck!
  10. just popping in......i also have a 96 legacy L 5 spd with about 188,000.......i would check for torque bind......
  11. i believe my rear 02 sensor is 3 wire....thanks for the help guys......i erased the CEL.....so if it comes back i will replace the sensor.....
  12. thanks....by the way which one is sensor 2 is it the one that is in/right after the rear cat?
  13. Ok got a 96' legacy ej22 and on the way to school this morning got a CEL when i got home i pulled the code P0136...02 Sensor Circuit Malfunction ( Bank 1 Sensor 2 ) i was wondering if i should do any testing on this sensor before i go ahead and replace it? oh the car has 187,500 miles and at about 170,000 the exhaust broke off(long story) so the person who owned it just cut the o2 sensor...i have sense soldered the correct wires back together and it was all fine until now. for some odd reason i think this is the origional 02 sensor......any help would be appreciated.....
  14. i think went from 185/70/14 to 205/45/17.... i havent had any problems yet.....well the only problem i had was since my car was lowered i was doing a little rubbing on the drivers front fender....but fixed that problem.....
  15. ok....i have a 1996 Legacy ej22 with a 5spd.....i have ran across two things in the past few days that have left me puzzled.....first..... i keep hearing people say that the non- EGR ej22's DONT have a CEL????? I DO have a CEL and my car has no EGR. second..... i also keep hearing people say that only the automatics and turbocharged vehicles come with a Pressure sensor mounted on the passanger side shock tower?.......i have a pressure sensor and i have a 5 spd manual... ......can anyone clarify anything here for me..... thanks for your time.....
  16. i believe they recommend doing the tie rod ends in pairs....just an FYI....
