  1. I build them 2 ways. 1) with a 2" recever and a winch mount that slips into it. 2) with a winch mounting plate built into the bumper. U can order either style with or without a brush guard on it. I like the recever style better, then your'e winch is not out in the weather all the time, and it's not out there for somone to steal
  2. I use 3M "Automotive Trim Adhesive", comes in an arisoll can, its yellow when it comes out and it works GREAT! I think its a varieant of permatex, AKA: The yellow deth.
  3. Would be alot stronger, good for the transfer case guys too
  4. Air shears are THE BOMB! when it comes to triming fenders They are very eazy to controll, and the edge they leave is so smooth that U dont have to do anything to it. (ie: it will not cout U if U slide youre hand acros it ) I wonte use ANYTHING else to cut fenders with anymore The BFH comes in very handy for the body seam runing down to fire wall.
  5. Yeah, par for the coruse with the Mich. tires If your tires are more than 6mo. old and U get them out they shouldn't come back and it shouldn't cause any more balance problems. I had to do that ALOT back when I was in the tire bis.
  6. WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! Thank U thank U thank U
  7. If any one know where to find all the Monroe specs on the web PLEASE PLEASE post the link. I have been looking for that for a while now
  8. Thank's Matt! As soon as I find and re-build my GM 90A alt. I'll give ya a call
  9. I ran 27x8.50-14 muders on my EA82 wagon with nothing more than cranking up the stock adjusters and triming the front fenders They WILL CLEAR! but U will need to roll the rear wheel well lip up, hammer down the seam on the fire wall (in the back of the front wheel wells) and trim out the front fenders about 1 1/2" bigger and strait across the front level with the bottom of the front bumper. I was using Pug alloys with mine, I wheeled the #&&! out of mine, and after those mods I NEVER had a clearance problem
  10. When I click on the links all I get is a screen full of....uh.....Iduno.....hiroglifics maby Is that becaus I'm on a MAC?
  11. U want EA81 or EA82? I can do either Just shoot me an E-mail or PM me if U want some
  12. Right on!! I think I will start on the tube doors this week for legalitys and peace of mind. Door less wheeling herer I come (agan!)
  13. Yeah, he put some on as a trail fix But he will have permenatn fix for it very soon
  14. You know, I never thought about that, but your'e right!! The doors work fine, (ie: no load on them) every time I get out on the trail no matter how crossed up or tilted my car is (DUH!!!!) So I gess they must not give any structural support. :-\
  15. Yup! My gold wagon did real good for no lift, and no welded dif! Will be fixing all that soon enough
  16. THANK U !!!!That was the post I was looking for, (and the guy) hope he can hook me up with some info on it
  17. I did a serch and came up empty, I know somone has done it but I need to know who. I need to convert the front of the EA81 to 4 on 100mm.
  18. OK, just wondering. Who all has pulled the doors of there roo in the summer ? I plan on dooing it to my off-road car and puting in tube doors to stifen the body. Any one besides Matt done this before?
  19. More articulation, stronger, and I don't know anyone who has don it yet
  20. Well I'm gona use it it's only 1/4" wider than the stock rear sus. flange to flange, and @ the smallest point it's still .005" bigger than the stubs on an R160 (and NOT hollow!!) so I think it will be fine for my app.
  21. 1) for me that would take more lift than I want right now. 2) I already have the Datsun TC (centerd out put for the front) and don't know how well that would work with an off-set front dif. 3) Rear axles are cheep and eazy to come by around here, but fronts are a lot more $$$$$ and not so eazy to find. I may end up with a strait axle up front later on, but for now it will just be in the back. Props to Matt (3eyedbandit) I now have a Toyota tercell rear axle siting in my driveway that I need to check the ratio on (if it's a 3.90 it's going in) Any one know anything about these axles? How strong? Locker ava.?
  22. My '85 GL wagon (4x4 D/R) had that same D/R shifter in it. I put it in the turbo when I did the swap from auto. but I have NOT seen that same shifter agan :-\
  23. I have done LOTS of custom suspension work before From Bajas to rock crawlers, Heeps to F350s. To clarify for some of U, I will be making a new frame that will go over the stock frame runners and extend them in the back a little ( think sub-frame conectors, but a little longer) so I can make mounts for any type of suspension I want. How much room I have under the body will be the big question. 930CV's are good, but only up to 40* of angle. I thought about useing the stock torshion bar as my springs, but I think I would be over torquing it to often and it would snap. Matt, what ratio is that yota axle? I would LOVE to play with it
