  1. Yeah, stock Subaru comp. is about like a 2HP shop comp. York is more like a 5HP shop sys:eek: The yorks can also be bought after-market all set up for on-board air sys.
  2. Or I could just post here;) The in line oiler is right, U need it to keep the compressor alive:) 1) take the fiting for the lines off of the comp. Cut the fiting flush with the bulk-head of it so that U now just have hole insted of a tube coming out. Tap that hole with 1/4"NPT threds, put a fiting in it and run a hose from there (intake side) to an in-line oiler, and from the oiler to the air filter housing. 2) Do the same cut and tap to the output side, run a line from there to a standard air commpressor controll switch, and then from the controll switch to what ever U are using for an air tank. 3) Now take the wire coming from the AC comp. cluch and run it to one side of the comp. controll switch. Then run a wire from a togle switched "+" to the other side of the comp. controll switch. Turn on the sys. and adjust the "kick in& kick out" on the switch and U now have a VERY GOOD on board air sys. U can add an air/water seporator to the out-put side if U want, but I just run the oiler at a very low rate and let the oil go throught all my air tools. It's good for them!!
  3. Is that bull bar aluminum or steel? It looks GREAT!
  4. 31"s will fit with just a little trim on the front, but 30"s sould fit OK without any triming;)
  5. I like to run 2 sets, 1 set shooting about 10' out to the sides@20' out in front. 1 set shooting right inbetween the high and low beams.
  6. Keep us posted, I would love one JUST like that for my DL project:D (EA82)

  8. Lower A arms too!!! Wow, I need to go over it with a fine tooth comb:D The new wheels and tires "make the car"
  9. Thank you! I think that is one of the best compliments I have had on my work:)
  10. My 14" alloy pugs HAVE TO HAVE the special "Ball seat" lug nuts, acornes will not work at all:( I'm not sure what model they are off of, but they are the most common ones.

  20. The intermedeat shaft from the Datsun/Nissian truck will slip right into the back of the Subaru tans (small world huh) and that is what conects them. It also gives U the proper spacing between the 2. With some slight mods the shifter will then come up right next to the pass. seat in the car;)
  21. Yup! They sure will. I swaped out my DS front shaft for that very reason. The inner was shot! The boot looked FINE, and it had grease in it, but it clicked like crazy. Strait, turning, breaking hard, didn't mater.
  22. Call me obtuse, but I NEVER would have thought of that! And it's a KICK A$$ idea. I can't wait to do all my bad mounts on the new ride;)
  23. I have done it, not for nearly as many miles as U want to thoe. But I have used my '85 to tow a 2000# trailer with NO PROBLEMS:D I even hooked up my 3600# boat & trailer to move it around the yard before. This was all done with one of my bumpers with a built in hitch. I'm not sure what kind of hitch U have, but make sure it's a GOOD one;)
