  1. YEAH! Lets go there! I wana ride "The Ride":D And get a better look @ the car.
  2. I should have time this weekend (Fri-Sun for me:D ) So just let me know when and where;)
  3. It's a little on the "Fabricators" end of things (but if U made your oun lift:brow: ) I would make longer lower controll arms, use a hime joints for the inner mount. Then U can adjust the camber. Just keep an eye on the inner DOJ so as not to pull it apart when @ full droop and turning;) If U want to get real hard core with it U could go to EA82 front shafts (they are longer, but the same joints) and build the lowwers to the right length for them;)
  4. Looks like a good starting point for true OFF-Road rig with the transfer case mod:brow:
  5. Go to the WY and get some rear coilovers and front struts off of a standard (read: non-air susp.) XT and put them on. It's cheep, eazy, and U won't have to worrie about it any more;)
  6. Yeah, I found with my turbo that MOST of the problems like this that I had could be traced back to vac. leaks.
  7. OK, I know the basics, but........ I'm looking at the rear (disk) flanges and it looks like there is not enough room for the new holes with out hiting the 4 bolts that hold it to the rotor:eek: Will it work, or is there somthing I'm missing?
  8. :-p :-p :-p :-p :-p :-p :-p :-p (for Adam) NICE WHEELS!!!
  9. The front dif is mounted "right side up" The transfer case keeps everything spining in the right direction;) I now have my transfer case, and am geting ready to do this mod to my wagon:clap:
  10. I would oun nothing but Subarus IF they made a rig that had room for 8, and a tow rating of 6000# or better. ( I have wife and 5 kids, a boat& travel trailer) But the closest I think I could get would be a WRX powerd Vanigen. (VW)
  11. I have seen those before, but thought they wer after market. Even thought they might be from over-seas. They look COOL!
  12. COOOOOLLLLLLL!!! Looks good Brian:burnout: Not as bad as U made it sound at all;) Get the cluch in it and it should be a ROCKET!
  13. OK, I didn't know that;) If that is what U really want then for that price I say GO FOR IT! I just thought U wer seteling on the 1st Leg. U found.
  14. I don't know:-\ it's a TURBO (lots of mant. with that:eek: )
  15. U will have to count me out for this one:( (5 kids and all, Easter is kinda big @ my house)
  16. WOW!! U are VERY good at the panell re-placement! Lookin' good!
  17. A lot of racers use al. bushings in the susp. They work GREAT for handeling, but are noisie, so if U do make sure to put zerks on ALL of them;) I have done this on a few cars, the ride is a little harsh on the street, but livable if U are looking for all out handeling.
  18. Just wanted to throw this out there for all to see since we see alot of Q's on this;) '86 DL wagon, NO options, hicrapy, resent tune up, 32MPG av. I havent had that kinda MPG since my Fiat:banana:
  19. Just wanted to let ANY one know that if they ever want to do any biz. with Adam NDJ, HE IS DA MAN!!!!!!!! I had a very special part that I needed from the yard, but was gonna be out of town and was afraid that it would be gone by the time I got back. He went and PULLED IT FOR ME:headbang: (not an eazy job) and droped it off @ the house for me while I was gone:) What -A-guy!!
  20. Just like they said, U will not make any more power, but U WILL get more power to the wheels, an under drive pully would help too. Definetly dich the mec. fan and go to an electric one. Synthetic gear oil in the tranny and dif. will help a little too.
  21. I have thought of the dif. hangers, and they can be made to sute ANY lift, without the use of spacer blocks;)
  22. A tug of war comp. with the 4x4 cars would be cool.
  23. Hey Q man, how did U get the little busted pice of the stub out of the dif. after a snaped stub? I have one that Adam is working on that is stuck in BAD! If it helps I welded the non ring gear side, side gear to the carier, and pin gears to that side gear. When I snaped the stub it also busted my welds:o
