hi i have an 88 gl d/r wagon with a 4 in lift and i red on sjr that you can put a rear end up front and a t case out of a ford ranger for lower gearing has anyone done this hand how is the drivability and how durable is it

ok i have an 88 gl wagon and just bought a 93 legacy wagon im going to do a ej swap and want to put the legacy suspenion on the gl aswell and keep my d/r trans what other parts will i need that i cant get from the legacy oh and my gl has a sjr 4 in lift on it already if that makes a diffrence

how old is the gas it might not be gas any more or you didnt time the car right when you replaced the timing belt that the only duh i can think of good luck

ya what did you do im hoping you tied it to a truck and pulled it down a dirt poad realy fast and jumped it a few times and the un hooked it and ran it over or at least tried or may be painted it all diffrent colors and towed it up a big hill or mountain and sent it down it into a big tree or rock or maybe a 500ft raveen that would be awsome and i want to see the pics:grin:

who cares if there is a hole in the block its not like those motors are hard to find or hard to swap just buy the car before some one like me does and you kick your a@# for not buying it and if your keeping your old suby just put the :banana:see if the old motor runs first with a hole in the block mine still ran and drove for 5 min till#2 rod went then she would only think about running its was sweet though and it gives u summthin to talk about good times of brakin stuff my fave

hey any body know where i could find some door sills and window sills for an 88 gl hopfully new but i highly dought it and any tricks on getting the outside window sill off of a car without bending it

i think a 27in tire is about as big as you should go if you go bigger you will have to do some cutting and replace ball joints more often and ya 15in wheel is the way to go 14 is to small

oh did i mention it didnt have oil psr at idle untill i put 2q 90w gear oil in it and 2.5q 10w30 thats whats been working for me and if it blowes up ohwell 320,000 miles isnt bad for a subaru
