  1. For as rare as the car is, I say old school mostly stock option. It's nicer to see a stock restored car than a modified restored car (ask Bucky92) I say hot rod tune the engine and eek as much HP as you can out of it without destroying it, and keep the stock configuration. You should be able to find a 3AT that will work with an EA71. They are out there. Twitch
  2. You're in the forum good sir. I recommend searching specifically under the historic forum for your model (it'll be under the "advanced search" option.) And congrats on finding such a rare car! Take good care of her! Twitch
  3. So basically you need RX axles... Or any turbo axle from after 1980, right? Twitch
  4. All you need are a few chunks of 10 gauge wire, 4, 1/2 wide spade clips, and a compatible fuse. I'll take pics of mine an upload them tomorrow. Twitch
  5. I'm actually trying to scan in a pattern that I would like to see photoshopped onto the new Outback. But my FREAKING scanner wont work! Twitch
  6. Me too!!! I'll have to work on the accent and the eh's but maybe we could be roomies! jk TSJ. But I hate the stupid lockdown the US government has on JDM vehicles. Stupid skylines... Twitch
  7. Don't forget that toyota is dabbling in subaru now. And I have noticed a trend of gawd awful quantities of chrome on the new toyota's as well. And poo. I think the designers at subaru have lost their minds. They need to come up with some sort of new design, not recycle everyone else's. Twitch
  8. You could unbolt the rear seats and see if that allows you access to the trunk. Or if the convertible top goes into the trunk for storage, you could unbolt that and see if that allows you enough access to the trunk. Twitch
  9. If you tapped the hot lead (the bigger wire with looped connector) to anything you will have shorted out and melted a fusible link. I believe you have a fusible link box on the passenger's side of the engine compartment, at least that's where my BRAT's is located. There should be a a few wire underneath the cover. If one has a silver stripe running along it, that's your culprit. I just took a 60a sub fuse and connected it via some wire and wire clips. Twitch
  10. Don't ask Bill... I would say about $750-1000 depending on condition. And location of course... Twitch
  11. Ok, first of all, take what rtcaravan says about seafoam lightly. Second of all, I have no idea how to flash codes on EA82's. Third, seafoam should help the ticking. It might clear up some carbon build up that's causing the tick. Hope it all helps! Twitch
  12. Beware the EA82T... And sweet ride my man. I would say drive the wagon, it probably has more power than the RX anyway. Not to mention better gas mileage. Welcome to the board and enjoy yourself! Twitch
  13. I am sooo sorry... Will you still be coming down tomorrow? DAMN that sucks... You shoulda put a nice EA81 in there and turbo'd it. Anyway, sorry about your loss man. I know how much it sucks to lose a car, and as numbchux would say "ask me how I know..." LOL Twitch
  14. You should be fine. The lamps don't appear to block too much airflow. Not to mention you have a lot of flow coming up from under the car. Just enjoy your new lights and keep an eye on that temp gauge! Twitch
  15. Sorry ed, I don't have a car I'm willing to risk driving all the way out to Moses Lake. My brat is having some severe electrical issues so I can't drive it out there, and the hot weather and some personal issues has semi-stalled out my lego. Sorry. Twitch
  16. Wow, you guys must be really wimpy about your trucks. My grandpa used to put half a ton of hay in the back of his 88 ranger, and then tow 1500 lbs of horses and trailer. That truck still ran and drove good when he sold it. My dad used to pull 2000 lb chemical trailers around with various S-10's that his boss owned. He even used a LUV on occasion. And this was through soft dirt farm fields, gravel roads and on pavement. Twitch
  17. Sorry 4x4 Welder, it has the standard ATC(?) fuses. I've got a multimeter I'm testing with. I haven't test too much yet, but I will be later, it just depends on when I work. Twitch
  18. Nope. Its not a fuse, I checked them all. Fusible links are good. Grrrr... Twitch
  19. Well, sir, why then, are you trying to start a battle without a weapon? Twitch
  20. I was driving my 85' BRAT, and I went to turn my fan on, and my car died. It wouldn't start for 10 minutes or so. But the thing is, I had power to my radio, my flashers and brake lights (I think I had power to my brake lights, might've been the sunlight) I was able to limp it to my ex's house, but it died as I turned on my blinker to turn onto her street. Anybody had this issue? I had my fan connected to my igniton coil, and it wouldn't turn on. The starter would turn, but there was no spark. Also, the dash warning lights wouldn't turn on, nor would the "key in ignition" dinger. I'm currently at a graduation, so I'm unable to do any testing right now, but have any of you guys had this issue, or any solutions you can offer? Twitch PS: I'm on my phone.
  21. Sweetness. A lot of people are surprised at how much stuff you can put in a Subaru. I know I've probably overloaded my BRAT more than once. Nice lawn tractor, btw. Twitch
  22. Well, lets see you put half a ton of stuff and a 1 1/2 ton trailer behind your little nissan and see how well it hauls. For what the OP was looking for, was a truck that could handle that sort of thing, and we all gave him the answer we would personally use ourselves. I would put a heavier more powerful small truck in front of that, rather than a lighter, more economy minded truck. I'm not trying to start a fight, I'm just explaining my reason for recommending what I did. Twitch
  23. Here here! For a link to the USRM!!! Anybody else up for that? Twitch
  24. All I have to say is TOY-ota, and Missin' Nissin. There's a reason all of those trucks are jacked up and offroaded. Its cuz they can't handle real work. I was raised a chevy guy (and damn proud of it!) and I say go for the S-10 with the vortec 4.3 Insane quantities of power and they can handle a days worth of work. Not to mention, if you ever get the inkling, you can put a 350 in there! Twitch
  25. Hold on... Is that stickerage original? Or a Pooparu or McBrat job? Cuz that weren't there in the other pic... Twitch
