  1. If you haven't already, try rotating your tires from front to back. It could be tires or maybe even a bent wheel.
  2. It holds 4.3 quarts I think. I usually put in four. Start it, then add the rest until it shows full on the dip stick. I would use 10w40. Thats what I use
  3. Awesome! That bumper ought to take a beating!:grin:So you must be about ready for the harness now! I bet you can't wait to hear it run!
  4. Just make sure you take care of the rust as well. Any rust that is left on there will continue to work on that sheet metal even though it's covered! Glad you were able to get to it! Good luck on it! Lets see some pictures!
  5. If you end up needing another caliper I'm sure someone could hook you up with a decent used one. They are pretty common. I used to have several!
  6. Make sure you wash it a lot too! At least after every storm dries up. And again oil the hell out of it! also when you sanded etc. did you get every little last spec of surface rust off of it before you spread bondo over it? If not, "rust never sleeps!" It will just keep eating away in there, even though you can't see it!!:-\ Good luck! I know how it is!
  7. NGK plugs only! Subarus love em and most others cause problems!
  8. As long as the weather is decent I plan on sleeping in my Brat!!
  9. yup! We got those in the US for 89 only on the EA82 cars!
  10. go into the meet and greet section and you'll find a post about The Carlisle car show. I plan on going with my Brat! Check it out!
  11. Oil the body! Any cracks and crevices and holes on the top and bottom of the body. Just oil it with basically what ever you can. I use NAPA chain and cable lube, it soaks in really well. Others spray used motor oil. But if you do this and wash it often, it won't rust for a long time. I know you don't have to worry about it as much where you are but it still wouldn't hurt!
  12. Man I guess I'm just lucky! I use it in my RS because of the leaky HG's and I added a little to my Brat because of a slight leak in my heater core. Both blow heat great
  13. As long as you don't use too much stop leak you will not see those results! But it sounds like your doing it the right way anyway!
  14. Think you can make it to the show???
  15. ahhh that makes since now. But how do you see on the night rally's?
  16. You mean John's car? Yeah that thing is sweet! It's too bad all that stuff happened. He did do some nice work! It's funny I talked to him right before I came to this forum, he told me to come on here. But anyways, he was supposed to hook me up with some motor mounts for my Brat. He said that he would send them out and guess what....he never did. Luckily no money was exchanged! But he seamed really cool and down to earth, and for the 2 hours I talked to him, he had some great ideas about subys. He told me to come to USMB and also told me that he wasn't very popular on here. He had said that he had wronged a lot of people and was slowly trying to make it right. But it's too bad that it went as far as it did:-\
  17. Sweet! Looks like fun. Nice wagon, looks like you need a headlight!
  18. Sweet!! Good luck on getting the tranny! I love this project, it's so much different than any other on the board! I can't wait to see it work!!! You should get it done by May and drive up to Carlisle for the car show!!
  19. Yeah just DO NOT drive it anymore! I think the motor is fine but you'll obviously need to replace the turbo
  20. Yeah honestly I hate it out here for that reason! I'd take broken windshields over rusty bodies any day!! Send me a rust free body!!!
  21. I would simply get one that has no rust, and then use your good SPFI motor in that one. I guess pick the cleanest one for the cheapest amount of money, and then put your good motor in. If you put an SPFI in a car that was/is carbed then you'll also have to swap the wiring harness as well!
  22. yeah all great points, but I hadn't even thought of that stuff because of the rust issue!:-\
  23. yeah bring your lifted Loyale definitely! If you can pay for more spots that's great too!
