Hell, Ill put my two cents in. No car company is perfect. My dad went through the same thing with his A6. 30,000 miles now and the brakes squeal everytime you use them. Audi told him that you have stomp hard on them in the morning because rust forms on them overnight. Tell me thats not a bunch of crap.

Interesting. I learned to drive stick on a Corolla and like my Legacy much better. However I must say that they are tricky. My clutch is completely different from my brother's Impreza. Which I have encountered shifting problems with his once where I could go into second, but this only last an hour. My Legacy shifts a little rough but I also have a very sensitive clutch.

New WRX

Makes sense, but then why didnt they do that in the first place? Why did they choose to produce a 2.0L when at the time they only had a 2.2L and 2.5L out? Another question. If they were changing the engine then why didnt they work to make it more efficient? As I stated before, I love the WRX but I could never afford to pay for a turbo and how many people are going to be able to now? Its not like the early 90's when the Legacy turbos were out. -
Gas Milage

My 2.5L gets 31 Highway. -
Its not that I disagree with you but I would expect that more horsepower in a Lexus versus a toyota where you would have enough to run effectively. But since they are the same company and its new technology, why would they engineer multiple engines right now? Im assuming the new Camry and GS will have the same as the RX and Highlander. I havent found any info on it yet. I dont think Hybrids will go away. For someone like me, who wants to see continuation of the combustion engine, hybrids are more appealing than a hydrogen car. I cant imagine giving up my 5 speed and the roar of the firing cylinders.

After exploring the Lexus website, I discovered that they are actually quite the threat to the Subaru buyer who can afford a pricy luxury vehicle. Model by model, Lexus is outfitting their cars with hybrid technology and All Wheel Drive. That makes them quite attractive to me and in 6 years when Im up for a new car, Id now consider a pre owned Lexus hybrid. As I have stated in previous threads, Subaru needs to get their act together, and a good start would be minimzing the number of turbos. The cost of a turbo is very unatractive to me and who can afford $3.00 a gallon at 19 mpg. It sucks.

Nice. And that pics in focus too. My 99 Legacy GT tops out at 131. I got my 96 GT up to 115 once, and it was an auto. And none of this was done downhill. -
Worried

I have heard about this B9 Convertible. Or a roadster, is what I thought. Whatever the case, I would prefer something more pracitcal. I just think its sucks that the fully loaded models are all turbos now. Except for the Outbacks. Hmmm. I dont think a Legacy GT with an H6 would be bad. And no I couldnt afford the RX400. But yes, the B9 Tribeca does look better in person. -
Is anyone else worried about the fuel consumption of Subarus and the fact that Subaru is adding more turbos to the line? I get 22 MPG now without the turbo, which I think is pretty good for 165 horses but when its time for a new car, Im afraid that gas will be too costly for me to own a Subaru, specifically a Legacy GT or a WRX. Has anyone heard anything about a Subaru Hybrid? Even though I love my Legacy, that Accord Hybrid is looking pretty nice right now. And the Lexus RX 400 looks even better. Id hate to have to settle for another brand because I dont want 93 octane and 19 MPG. Honestly, how many could afford that at $3.50 a gallon? ...the whole thing sucks
