  1. I just did all four of mine and I removed the knuckles and pressed the bearings out at work. Had too run a small bead of weld on the inside of two of the races to get them too break loose from the knuckle even in the press. Not a hard job to do if you got tools or access to them and a little bit of wrenching under your belt.
  2. My rear bearings went at 115,000mi after being sunk in a mud pit. (I'm a little rough on the old Foz) unibrook is right about the coolant additive to keep the head gaskets fresh. At about 100,000mi do the timing belt and you'll be fine. Love my 01,most fun I've ever had with a car.
  3. You don't need replacement heads, get them crack checked, new valves, resurfaced, put it back together with new belt and associated hardware. Will last another 100k at LEAST.
  4. Stanley looks like he was having a blast.
  5. Front wheel bearings usually get louder when turning. Bad driver side would be louder turning right as it loaded up,passengers louder when turning left. Just my experience.
  6. 17 to 20mpg in town depending on how heavy my right foot is at the time. 24+ mpg on the highway depending on where the cruise is set, headwinds, etc. Highest I've got was 28mpg out of a tank on the highway coming back from WV.
  7. Got about 4000mi on the lift and all CV's are fine. Don't have the Phantom grip, was just considering it. I have done the 4eat lock(sorta)switch and that works FANTASTIC in soft loose sand. Done a lot of mods, wouldn't go back on any of them.
  8. A start.... http://www.offroadsubarus.com/showthread.php?t=1308&highlight=lift
  9. When I made that lift (pictured above) all I really wanted to know was a proper offset to keep the camber relatively in line. Was like pulling teeth. Not sure what you need for an EJ but I would suggest cruising the Aussie forums, the info's there you'll just gotta look for it. Welcome aboard anyway.
  10. Been watching this thread and I gotta agree with covers on. All it takes is one piece of whatever to get between the belt and pulley and bad sh*t happens.

  12. I actually contacted them about using the ATV trax on a Sube and they said it would just be to much for them to handle.
