  1. It was on a Toyota frame and drivetrain.
  2. the blue hatch is actually a wagon. the setup is a weberized EA-81 with a late 80's chevy s10 airbox modified to fit the weber. the airbox came with enough hose to connect it to the snorkel. i am going to do the same thing on my 85 wagon
  3. we need to see some video from that washout sorry for the crappy cell phone photo
  4. That red wagon that left early also lost a window
  5. i couldnt get them out of any of my other cars
  6. if anyone gets this before we leave in the morning, i need a rear axle because one of mine decided to break when i was turning on pavement  WTF!!
  7. it depends on the type of vehicle. after '85, the wagon, sedan, and rx were different. the brat and hatchback were still gen 2 and should be interchangeable
  8. tires: 235/75/R15 Avon SXT bars: knock-off Thule 2, 3 or possibly 4 inch towers the (modified) bed frame is attached with 6 hose clamps. 3 on front and back. they are a lot stronger than you think. but we'll see what happens after the wheeling trip on saturday
  9. i built and mounted a homemade roof rack and installed the snorkel that bobs97c5 gave me  I also installed a welded diff to make noise on pavement when i try to park

I was wondering, were XT's ever rallied back in the day? It would be hard now, with lack of parts cars, but i am still curious.
  12. time to invest heavily in the lottery Also: That's not fair! I want tracks on my wagon!
  13. i hope that it's gotten wider since that picture was taken... what happens when someone going up meets someone going down?
  14. it has walls on the ends, but that's it and the sides are made out of angle, so it really doesn't need walls
  15. it's sitting on some thule towers that came with the car and the rack is attached 6 with 3" hose clamps oh yeah, i installed that snorkel today as well
  16. finished!
  17. and i want a white one i can put on the back of my roof rack
  18. second
  19. honestly it not that bad. i installed a welded diff in my wagon 2 days ago and the only difference is you get looks when you make sharp turns. and taking out an axle isnt that bad
  20. all painted up! and it is made out of a bunk bed frame that i got for free!
  21. HAHA!! it's been six months but i finally have a cargo rack! its the same size as the roof of the car so i have plenty of room for stuff like 2 full size spare tires, high jack, cooler, lawn chair, BBQ, etc... its almost finished. i ran out of paint and daylight and for when i have more money: i put 4 light tabs across the front  so when i install all of them, my car will have 12 headlights wal mart has some decent ones for 22 buck for 2
  22. its the accumulator. where is the vacuum hose going into it supposed to plug in?
  23. you should just lift it and wheel it like the rest of us
  24. '85 GL wagon when i press the buttons on the dash to change the vents to defrost, heat, etc, the air flow doesn't change, which really sucks because i need a defroster. What could be causing this and how can it be fixed? Thanks!
