that barx race looks fun, i wish i had money to get an old suby hatch and drop a ej22 in it, id dog the hell outta that car if i built it.

searching is a good thing, but i think there are a few people that have attemped this and completed it. i know some have done the wrx swap into a brat, and i think it was dr.rx that did the rx. i may be wrong though

sweetness, i am glad to hear that you got your intercooler. i am going to be loosing my td04 for a while when the guy that gave it to me has his vf24 rebuilt:( . i was hoping to get it fitted soon, but i still need to get the car inspected and registered first.

the catback that i have is a simple streight pipe for the mid section, then a bent pecie that goes to the muffler. i still need a 1' long section to connect the dp to the cat back. i am going t oa talk to a friend of mine that is in tight with the local tuners and see if i cant get a good deal on the parts i need.

i have a td04, wrx downpipe, and tmic. i also have acquired a 3" catback from a wrx. i just need to get a header made for the turbo as well as a short midpip to go inplace of the second and third cats from a wrx's exhaust setup. then i will only need new injectors, some kind of fuel management, and intercooler plumbing.

as a testament to amsoil, well, synthetic oil in general(possibly) my old boss's wire hit a rock in her mercedese and ripped the opil pan open, then drove from her home to the garage with no oil in the engine, about 25 miles. they always used amsoil in the car, there was no damage to the engine when they got it fixed. i wouldnt reccomend going out and trying to proove or disproove this though, some engines are different tthan others

the messed up thing is that you have some and i have none, my rx has no fan.

look into getting amsoil, its what i use when i can afford it, that and they have a huge change interval selection. they have motor oils that range from 7500 to 25000 miles between changes.not that i would go that long tough, i try to do mine every 5000miles. its some good stuff,

hmmm, im not sure ofthe milage on my engine but at hte moment the gas milage is 0mpg, but i still havent got the car registered and taken it on the road yet.

thats the way i eventually want to go, but i am on a very tight budget until i can find a job.i have most of the parts i will need to put in the car, i just need a new throttlebody, intercooler plumbing, hoodscoop, new injectors, exhaust manifold (custom, ofcoarse), and fuel managment. after i get the upgrade complete, i will the start looking into something like what oddcomp did with the edis setup. then if at all possible, i might try for custom hubs or the 5lug conversion. i still want to know the flow rates of the injectors.

i got my 15" pugs with crappy tires for $130

so, does anyone know the flow rates of the injectors?

i know that the afc that i want to use is programable sothat i can compinsate for the uber richness at idle and between shifts, and then have it tuned for cruising and acceleration. its almost a stand alone fuel management setup but it still works with the ecu.

anyone know what the difference in flow rates are between the ea82t and ej22 injectors. i am thinking of trying for some legacy injectors for my rx when i add the bigger turbo and intercooler. i am hoping to get the APEXi s-afc for the rx. i have been told that the injectors should fit the manifold and fuel rails from the ea82. im pretty sure that the ej22 injectors flow better than the ea82 injectors.

thats hot. i am thinking of fabing up something like that but a bit more aero dynamic for the rx. i mainly want it incase of any more bambi encounters. just imaging railing a deer at highway speed with a reinforced push bar. . i would hate to clean that up.

i did something like that, but i was in front wheel drive with the hillholder stuck . nice left wheel burn out all the way up the driveway. and i showed up my neighbors with their beater corollas in a reving contest.

sounds possibly like you may need new plug wires. possibly worn out boots on em. depending on the last time they were changed, it might not be a bad idea to do it anyway.
