  1. here you go the only lines I see is were the brake booster and the FPR
  2. Does the FSM shows where various ports are? From my understanding it should be as close and to the center as possible but haynes just shows it connected to the intake port for cyl #3
  3. I just came from outside.. my hose is a little too big in the I/D but I took the hose off on the L shaped vacuum hose just after the T/B and I got no reading until I revved the engine.. if I did the hose where the FPR was I got a good reading. Maybe I used the wrong location?
  4. I wonder why it does that.. maybe when the car cools the suction on the upper hose causes it? I'd have to see the clamp maybe the old motor mounts would of caused the hose to move?
  5. I found the leak it's from the upper raditor hose funny how it only leaks during a cold start
  6. with the 12V outlet and a possible audio setup in the rear it's hard to say at the moment.. I know my radio transmitting uses about 13 A for about half a sec or so.
  7. it's not the drivers side unless coolant can somehow make it's way all the way to the other side of the engine from the cam.
  8. no man.. this was steam and coolant dripping.. did you see the video? here are some pictures
  9. I left a family member's house this morning on the way back to CT and it was around 47 F outside.. Anyways after about 3 min or so warming up I noticed some slight steam under the hood so i figured it was just a little water because it did rain pretty hard over the night but I decided to check the hood anyways and I open it and the car is steaming and coolant leaking, It was hard to tell where the leak was coming from but the leak stopped when I gave it a little throttle and never leaked again on the 300+ miles drive home.. :-/ any clue? I'm about 45 miles from 230,000 HG maybe? I have a video here.. not that great but it's something.
  10. Well crap about to leave and its in the low 40's started the car and it was steaming like crazy it stopped when I gave it a little gas.. Im sure the HG is going its the passenger side
  11. I think I may still replace the alt when I get back just gotta pick up some electical tape
  12. When I stopped at the rest stop I saw some of the copper unwinding could of been just touching it when the motor moved im dressed up now so no dirty time for me
  13. Cross your fingers if I can get this picture posted just took it
  14. When I stopped at the shell in Elkton, MD and after I woke up I looked at the alt and the output cable it seemed like it was stripped.. I'm not sure what you mean by making contact with it's self.. do you mean the body of the alternator?
  15. lol I was making good time but I would of been super early like almost 24 hours early so I entered in some long rest time the crosswinds were pretty strong gas mileage is around 25.6 MPG and that's with a crappy aliment right now.
  16. No nothing was loose and my headlights were already on when it was doing what it was doing.. However my ham radio gear transmitting at 45 W pulls about 13 A from the socket. I would of did a video but it was going nuts while the car was at idle it pretty much went like this.. foot on brake or rolling or stopped in neutral tach bounces to 0 rpms dash lights flick off then back on, radio also shuts off then comes back on. Never stalled, Since I was tired I stopped to rest for about 3 hours in Elkton, MD started the car up and drove another 180 miles with no other issues. Last time I checked the Alt which was about 4 months ago the output was good but it may be something flaky on it now which only shows up at random times. While I was driving and at idle I turned on my headlights and fogs and it never cut anything else off.
  17. Dont know if I can get it any cleaner *edit on the laptop now I left my meter on the bed I said to myself I don't think I'm going to need this :-/ Something like this happened when leaving work one day.. I tried to make it come back by turning on everything in the car and I never could get it to do it again.
