  1. I had one jam up on the threads and would just spin the ball joint around.. Not sure what happened since I made sure it was not cross threaded.
  2. is that the UV color?
  3. yeah I picked up my head gaskets from the dealer yesterday but I should of priced shopped over at SL-I.net they were like $109 was too much.. So I'm going to call around before I get the timing belt. Those are the only two things I wont fool around with on this motor.. on my Ej22 I went with a non subaru timing belt which gave me no problems.
  4. looking at my service manual I printed out what about the relay for it? I noticed (or at least I've not heard it) the click sound when you press the switch from the relay. I'd have to check later.
  5. sounds like me when I was in slow moving traffic the car acted like it wanted to go out.. turns out the alt output was shorting to the body of the alt but I think it helped do the alt in quicker.. right before my crash it started to really get bad.
  6. I have a question I tried to search on google but I never really got any hits.. but with all the versions of the gaskets (not sure how many) what makes theses gaskets better?
  7. hah yeah he was baffled why I could not use a normal washer lol I tried to explain but just gave up lmao.
  8. Anyone know the current part number for the DOHC gaskets? if not I will just head down to the dealer seems like 11044AA610?
  9. wait... what gasket is what? I thought the gasket part number was 11044AA471? I'm about to go to the dealer in about an hour to buy them for my 97 outback *edit ok looks like the part numbers keep changing for each version change.
  10. Yeah side to side movement feels stiffer it was stupid it took almost 2 weeks to get that stupid large washer.. must of came from SIA.
  11. First thing I thought of when I saw the picture
  12. Did anyone see the video what is that switch in front of the heated seats switch?
  13. hah.. http://www.henrysauto.com/MN.asp?pg=products&specific=143&loadup=1
  14. Sounds just like my mom she was yapping telling me I'm putting too much money in my car (my leggy 95) and she was like you need to get a newer model.. and I was like why so I have to replace the same parts that need to be replaced that I already did on the 95.
  15. And I think my oxygen sensor is finally slowly going out.. for almost 2 months it's been fine.. but after I did a ECu reset after putting on a new muffler (magnaflow) it's sometimes stumbles from idle to about 2500. I was looking at the voltages at idle it's back and forth but last time I check with my o-scope I can't remember how fast it was reacting. Should I use a wrench or a socket for the oxygen sensor?
  16. I heard that's not good for the valves? having said that I've ran with just the headers on and boy is it loud.. I only did that to blow whatever was in the headers out.. lucky for me I get to do it all again in a few weeks.
  17. Ah good to know they have them no big rush, man I'm nearing $1,000 spent at rockauto
  18. I gotta do my liftgate supports too where did you get yours from? they don't look hard to do at all? I just hate having to remember to push it up enough so I wont bang my head.
