replaced HG, valves hitting.
1-3-2-4 replied to papalobster's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXyeah I picked up my head gaskets from the dealer yesterday but I should of priced shopped over at SL-I.net they were like $109 was too much.. So I'm going to call around before I get the timing belt. Those are the only two things I wont fool around with on this motor.. on my Ej22 I went with a non subaru timing belt which gave me no problems.

I noticed (or at least I've not heard it) the click sound when you press the switch from the relay. I'd have to check later.

Viscous Coupling Questions
1-3-2-4 replied to Tmb9862's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXSounds just like my mom she was yapping telling me I'm putting too much money in my car (my leggy 95) and she was like you need to get a newer model.. and I was like why so I have to replace the same parts that need to be replaced that I already did on the 95.

All that helping out and...
1-3-2-4 replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI was referring to the oxygen sensor socket

All that helping out and...
And I think my oxygen sensor is finally slowly going out.. for almost 2 months it's been fine.. but after I did a ECu reset after putting on a new muffler (magnaflow) it's sometimes stumbles from idle to about 2500. I was looking at the voltages at idle it's back and forth but last time I check with my o-scope I can't remember how fast it was reacting. Should I use a wrench or a socket for the oxygen sensor?

Embarrassed to even ask this.....
1-3-2-4 replied to Rpm90001's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXI heard that's not good for the valves? having said that I've ran with just the headers on and boy is it loud.. I only did that to blow whatever was in the headers out.. lucky for me I get to do it all again in a few weeks.
