  1. I need to know what length the driveshaft needs to be for a 4wd hatchback with a d/r 4speed. I have a wagon driveshaft I can have shortened, but the car isn't together yet so I can't measure it myself. Or, if someone just happens to have one for a hatch laying around I'd be willing to take it off your hands.
  2. Sounds fun, but beating an STi is going to cost you much $$$
  3. > This kind of stuff really pisses me off. Like it was said, this isn't something that's highly marketable. It's got to be some punks local to you. Good luck getting it back mate.
  4. I don't have any experience with older Subie turbos but on my WRXs an uppipe leak is easily recognized by the high pitched sqeal it makes while under boost.
  5. Cool, looks like there's lots of offroad potential in that one.
  6. If you can find the actual owner of the car it will make filing for a lost title much easier and faster. In Washington it's a three year wait if you have to file without the previous owners present. I seem to recall that Oregon is similar with the time frame. Here's a link that will help: http://www.odot.state.or.us/dmv/Vehicles/title_list.htm#Replacement_Title_Only
  7. Actually they rated the Turbo with 5spd Manual at 6.2 and the Automatic at 7.1
  8. So, I might have a lead on a couple take off 32/36 webers. What do these usually run at a junkyard or swapmeet? They were working when taken off but probably need a rebuild. One is a DGEV and one is DGAV. (Or so the guy says) I was thinking of buying the whole kit at carbsunlimited but if I can get into it cheaper it would leave money for a cam regrind.
  9. My bad, it is indeed a stake in all of FHI, says so on their website. The Chevy Forester was for India, that Bowtie just looks odd sitting there in it's grille.
  10. As I recall from the last thread I read on this subject over at NASIOC, GM has stakes in Subaru only, not FHI. I'm guessing that since it's not an official GM brand employee discounts don't apply. Still, you could get a discount on that new Saabaru.
  11. MPH was what I've been talking about. :-\
  12. Ok, I was just wondering since that's faster than both my WRXs. I thought maybe you had a sleeper STi killer. Road and Track says the Outback with the H6 does 0-60 in 8.5.
  13. Wow, what's in your Outback that lets it do a 4 second 0-60?
  14. Ha, it's more like everything is broken. I'm working on replacing the whole car, little to none of it is worth fixing. It's been great for a free car though. I was following a blue ea81 4x4 wagon on I-5 North in Oly last night that was having no trouble doing 85.
  15. I don't think my 84 Wagon will even reach 60mph at this point. That's what my WRXs are for.
  16. Good lord, 495hp at the wheels. How do they keep any tires on that thing.
  17. After looking at this article: http://usmb.net/repair/?CurrentDirectory=FOLDER_3f29dd8b799d54.16951349/&FileType=Article&File=ARTICLE_3f497f2ea84221.87937537.art I'm a little confused. I can make the bracket and was looking at buying a set of KYB GR-2s, but what else is needed to do this swap into an EA81? Rear springs I'm guessing, any other mounting hardware? -C
  18. That's an awesome conversion. Has to be scary with that kind of power in such a light rig though. "I'm sorry did you say yutes?"
  19. That looks like the sort of goop that ate up my '84 over the Fourth. Nice pics.
