  1. thanks hopefuly it will look even better next year and your wagon looks pretty good also
  2. it's ok all is forgiven so why ya askin anyways?
  3. sounds good and there was a club here called the NWSEC (North West Subaru Enthusiast(sp?) Club) and havn't heard word about the newest stuff goin on with it but hey would be great to have a NW club again and have it more NW instead of washington like NWSEC was
  4. yep it was a blast got there at 5pm friday and left at 9am today but man I hope there is one next year cause wife wants to defanately go next year was fun doing that late afternoon runs of Paul Eklunds car and a few others before the caretaker came out ticked as can be lol but was a bummer I couldn't get the 76 out there in time but I did take the fenceline trail though and didn't scrape underneath that is but the sides got some scotch broom sweepings lol was a good turnout I had the oldest flat 4 there (Smart Service had their 360 there) met alot of the guys I have been talking with for the last 5 years finaly!!! and met alot of guys again that I knew and met before too lol and had some good chats with some of the guys too and had positive feedback from alot of newschoolers on my wagon and also Richierich's convertible and also positive feedback on my ideas for my 76 too didn't take many pics but have a couple I will post of a 76 MY WIFE found north of the fairgrounds heading up to Sequim and even went to talk to the guy that was at the place about it for the bumpers (gotta love her for that) so now she has been majorly converted now haha. but thanks to Noah for the pic taking I don't need to worry about not taking many still it was nice to meet all ya guys and hope to meet ya again soon enough
  5. will be there in about 8-9 hours time with Myself in the 76 and wife and niece in the 04
  6. that's cool and moosens hahaha only if it's not the 76 but the 04 hehe that way I can actualy have 4wd and such but if it was RALLY X then heck yeah that would be fun (and maybe after I am done with the resto-mod I have planned )
  7. oh yeah and also I should pull out my datsun restoration catalog and go though it again for some of the cooler stuff (after looking at the door weatherstripping again I might be able to find that in there too YAY!!) cause I have found in there rebuild kits for the u-joint half shafts in it and side marker lights for the stage 1 vehicles among a ton of other things including performance pieces like in the way of urethane bushings and stuff hehe
  8. as long as you keep the ratio correct you can fit them in without worries cause the rear suspension bottoms out before the tire does if you go even an inch larger just hafta watch the clearance on the torsion bar ends!!
  9. yeah and the cool urethane couplers can be used then hehe I am wondering if the quick ratio coupler will work then hmmmmm hehe
  10. That's good to hear cause we are bringing a 15yo niece with us and we don't really want her introduced to the "magic" ones at all nah we don't care remember the HPSS that I did make it too? it was considered "damp" too haha but we survived and thats all that counts
  11. what you have there is a carter/weber intake manifold so might just find a hitachi manifold and bolt it on cause it's way easier to do and better flowing than that carter/weber manifold
  12. Hey Leone I forget if we have talked before but PM me considering your here in portland and all lol and might be cool to meet up sometime
  13. yep and also right on the way to Port Orchard anyways (been that way a few times lol)
  14. yes it does and any walmart should have it it's one of those things that has many uses besides what it was designed to do lol
  15. zefy if you noticed they other guys were saying that all brats have cv's in the rear it's only wagons that had u-joints
  16. lol moose lol I was meaning all gen 1's and was figuring that everyone was talking about that and northwet that's why I am going to experiment and see if it is possible for the newer lsd to be able to match up for splines and stuff to the yokes for those shafts
  17. thanks Mick cause I was wanting to see what it was and stuff cause of friend of mine was going to give me his mag to see it but never happened anywho that grill looks different than my 76 wierd and if you need help holler cause I am sorta going to go down the same trail as you but with a twist cause unlike what these guys are suggesting I am going to challenge myself with a megasquirted and turboed EA-81 w/ 5sp d/r swap when I start on the resto mod and also going to do other things like also experiment with the rear disc conversion cause found out the front hubs will fit the rear shafts quite nicely (for those of you who don't know the u-joint halfshaft equiped cars have larger stubs in the rear than the DOJ equiped cars) and might be actualy heavier duty and then the LSD conversion mentioned in another thread that will be seing if those said u-joint shafts will mate up to the lsd with no problem but yeah PM me if you want to know anything else and btw here is my 76 4WD :
  18. I recognise the name from the first hatch rally cars so it might be one of those... lifted this off of http://www.subaru-msm.com/global/history/history/1989.html
  19. yeah tomco is crap! my friend a while back had a 70 ford f250 with the 390 in it and had replaced the carb with one from tomco and 3 carbs later he decided to put a brand new performance carb on cause of the issues he was having
  20. ummmmm some of you guys are forgetting the guys with the u-joint halfshafts........ cause I don't really know if it will work till I get my hands on one and see if it will mate up to those axles cause they have shafts that go into the diff and bolt in the center instead of the stub axles being bolted up internaly and sticking out for a doj to slip into and have a pin through
  21. I did also but if someone will host them I went in the backdoor and d/l'ed them but to warn you I took the 1g one which is better quality and bigger size and is like 66 megs
  22. well it should do fine over the pass and stuff and I think albany is about 300 IIRC
  23. well as dry as it is there during winter you won't have the moisture and cold issues alot of the other guys will have but I dunno about the alt. part though considering there is suck a major elevation change in various parts of central oregon (2500 @ Prineville to 4500-5000 ft in Fall River/La Pine)
