bajavwnsoobnut replied to Subieguy's topic in Historic Subaru Forum: 50's thru 70's
just try the local parts stores and if need be tell them to look through their books and also try the other brands too for a replacement strut -

KYB still makes them but look for the listing under 1980 or 1981 brat for the struts and shocks cause the listings that most places will have will only date back to 80 and luckily gen 1 brats were made for those 2 years -

N/A 4WD manuals are 3.9 and all others are 3.7 and Steveman PM me and I will send you my ph# and I work graveyard so it is a lil hard to do stuff during the day but might be able to make a run out to the yard to check them out and also which U-Pull-It are ya talking about besides the one on Foster cause there are quite a few of them around lol and might also go out to Boring to U-Pull U-Save
-
ummmm all autos are 3.7 and the turbos for manuals too but what you need is the front axles, front half of the driveshaft (it's longer), flywheel and clutch assy, pedal box, clutch cable, shift linkage, and be a good idea to do the speedo cable just in case but I don't think you need it. Where at in P-town are ya? I'm over near the clackamas town center if ya want to meet up sometime and talk
