Hey Paul did you like those fenders? -
Craig are you sure about the west hills? they do get pretty slick even if the rest of town isn't but I talked with Richie and it is a good idea to postpone it till next sunday cause he is also coming back from the coast right now cause he was stuck out there due to the weather but when we get things rolling Sean posted on Rallitek.net that he will set up a Forum just for us

yeah as some of these guys know I am right at the ege of a plateau and watching people with sleds and stuff having fun then watching a Ford Superduty slide about a foot down the slope was interesting and also we have some guys nextdoor that were trying to get their lil 2wd p-up to go uphil and spun tires and I tried to get them to stop and wait till I get out there with the 83 and a towrope to pull them up the slope but oh well lol hopefuly though we don't have anything like this next weekend for a meeting of the Subari oh and wife tried to get to work yesterday and at 122nd and sunnyside she watched a Tri-met bus slide into the ditch and the bus had chains on! At least last year there was snow under the ice so when you broke through the ice you had traction

ok just left a message with Richie asking if we should go on with the show or should we postpone it till like next weekend due to this storm If anyone wants to postpone it for one week then we should do that so everyone can make it including me (wife is a lil freaky with me on ice I dunno why though )

Welcome to the board and I must be lucky then cause of the local Dealership (Lithia) still has the books (parts and FSM's dating back to 72) for the older (as in gen 1) cars and sometimes they do find parts! and also some of the mechanics have been there since like 1978 so they know the gen 1 vehicles very well -
it's usualy speed and inertial based and man you are having bad luck all around with your subies and with the auto I would understand how it would do that considering I had the same issues with a Forester we used to have and just going 10 mph in light snow and luckily for me for ground clearance and luck I cleared the obstical that I ran over sideways

It's not that bad and Hey Mark I resent that remark we already have something worse than Longview and it's called Salem -
it's rather simple really head up I-5 to the I-205 jct. then take 205 up to Stark street exit and take that then when you get up to stark take a left and then a couple blocks the pizzaria will be on the left hand side that's why we chose something easy to get to but who knows if everyone wants to trek down to Salem for a meeting later on we could always goto Wally's over in West Salem don't worry I used to live in Mt.Angel untill 2000 (10 years living there and then also Keizer and silverton for another 5 years)

k cool thanks! -
what I was talking about Craig was swaping out ECU's and if the wiring harness from the engine (EZ-30) connecting to the harness on the body is not a problem then that's what I am looking at and if need be we can get the correct a/c lines and such if my friend does decide to keep a/c and the other various systems will be plumbed accordingly
-
ok so if I read all this correctly if we get a H-6 EZ-30 and swap out the problematic EJ-25 and both are OBD 2 engines it will be a plug and play setup then?

welcome to the board a person I work with mentioned something like that happening to them also and they took it to a indie subaru shop in town and they said it was gonna cost them 600 bucks or so for replacement of the turn signal stalk and so they took it to the dealership when they were quoted 300 and when they called and checked up on the car they were told that they fixed it even before they laid a tool on it and it was gonna just cost 35 bucks (mechanics time to flip it lol) just to find out that the parking light switch was in the halfway position for me it was something else that caught my eye for that cause of when I had my 91 loyale when I got it I was fiddling around with switches and when I was driving around I flipped the p-light switch and the p-lights would turn off but the dash and headlights stayed on which I found was cool! well when I found a fuse blown then I realized why that switch was doing that cause of the fuse was the link to keeping the lights on but I have taught a few people about that switch and in fact I found it done on the 04 when my wife took it to a full service car wash and they flipped it and when I realized that the lights were on I peeked in and sure enough I saw a bright orange tag sticking up on the column hope you don't have any "major" problems later on and again welcome to the board
