  1. its probably because its an auto... or youre not punching it hard enough. I can get my carbed 86 GL to 70 before 5 miles is up... Hell before a mile is up...
  2. I probably wont get there til about 830-930 Hopefully a good spot near Mike and near the water will still be available *crosses fingers* Gonna be awesome seeing you guys tomorrow night!
  3. +1 This happened in my 1998 Mitsubishi once. I had everything done, new drilled and slotted brake rotors, pads, rebuilt calipers, new master cylinder, dot-4 fluid... Was great for first 2 weeks, then in Oregon City I went to hit the brakes when a guy slammed on his and rear-ended him. They asked what happened and when I gave symptoms they said that my MC failed, probably due to an internal leak which could've come from the warehouse or poor installation.
  4. Boom. Nick and I shall bring Call of Duty MW2, 2 XBOX's and a 50 inch flat screen! Tournaments all day. I keed. but we did joke about it a bit today!
  5. Ya know. Get a ride. Come hang with us, get some ideas, meet some cool people, put names to usernames, to faces and vehicles. Have a beer, or two, or three, or compete with Mike on his beerstaff Youll have a great time... Subaru powered or not. I came in a 2006 Pontiac Vibe last year, still had a great time!

  7. Sweet guys! Thanks so much! Im gonna be doing this on my car and a buddies car soon so I needed to know what we should look for in the junkyards.. And then I had to know the steps for when I do it... Itll be my first 2 5 lug swaps and they are both EA82s so it should just be the same for both of them
  8. Does anyone have a 5 lug swap write-up for an EA82 sedan and wagon? I saw a little of Pooparu's on his EA81 hatch... I just wanna know whats needed parts wise - (for junkyard searching) and if a general step-by-step write-up exists. Note: I did some searching, and it keeps skipping "5, lug, up" and keeps "EA82, swap, write"
  9. I just removed my axle from the transmission. I recommend using the punch to to pound out the roll pin. I had my hub all disconnected from the strut and control arm so it was easy to pull the axle off. I recommend doing this step as well... Remember... they only go on one way... if it doesnt look right, rotate it 180* and try again.

This is my ad. Id be willing to ship it to you if its the one thatll fit your rig... Just give me an offer?

  11. Sounds good! I should have some peugeots someday, Im hoping its not too long before I have the funds for some.

Let me know when you come down, well have to go chill and figure something out down here!

  12. The grinding slashing sound *could* be a wheelbearing. Take a look around... A big question should be WHY is that tire so chewed up... Looks like something is cutting it. Did you check your castle nut? That should be torqued on hella tight... Like push with your weight... and then keep pushing (not literally, I think its 150 ft lbs) but make sure its tight. Since youll be looking at it anyway, make sure that the washer isnt damaged(has a lip or groove) and replace it if necessary.
  13. Congrats! Glad to see that over 300k and another scoob is chuggin along... or purrin along as the case may-be
  14. Oh bummer man! Hopefully you can get it fixed... Not a day goes by that people dont ask "wheres your wheels man?" or "wheres the pugs!?" So hopefully you can get it driveable and enjoyable again!

  15. Glad youre okay... And at least the car is okay, gotta replace carpet someday anyway, might as well be soon lol
  16. Lift up the rear of the car and rock the wheel... Could be a bad wheel bearing. Could be a loose axle nut. Could JUST need an alignment.
  17. Home from GDs. Got new inner tie-rods from Discount Import for 25.02 because RockAuto sent me 1986 GL Hatch (EA81) inner tie rods (female) and tie-rod ends (not as curved). Probably my fault for not double and triple checking :-/ Ned has new inner tie-rods drove really nicely. Steering wheel isnt straight now (probably my mistake?) but seemed great. New alignment next week. Passenger wheel bearing done too, driver side probably tomorrow.
  18. Dont thank me tons of people have done it on here, and Ive read it was a common problem that people just flick it. Im glad, my car, I have to push my knob in and turn it to get my parking lights on with the key not on... So I just dont "bump" it. glad you didnt waste a whole weekend! Enjoy your weekend!
  19. I think that JacksonRally car is pretty cool... but not worth outvoting McBrat... I think its because most of those are teenagers that are more impressed with newer cars
  20. So buy it elsewhere from another dealer. If I can get it for $65 here then ship it to you for like $15 then you save.
  21. Your corner lamps and tail lights probably are on because of the switch above the steering wheel for the parking lights... this has happened A LOT in the past for other people... probably got bumped... Check that.
  22. If it comes back... Replace your oil pump and gasket (again, sorry) and also send your lifters to be rebuilt. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=113431 this is GDs experience with my car and the TOD... It came back unfortunately after the car hadnt been driven for awhile, but a trip to the gas station and a trip home... I gave it 3 6K RPM shifts and when it got home and idled in the driveway, I didnt hear a single ticking.
