just ran the angle grinder roughly around where the flared bit on the guards start, ended up cutting too much off the rears (i wanted that much tho) and got into the double skinned bit, so had to weld in some sheet metal to cover the gap between the two skins then screwed on a set of flexy flares and it was done

  10. its only bad when its wet i have tried to burn the stuff out from around a mechanisim and all it did was turn black and smell, couldnt burn it for the life of me!
  11. easiest way would be to go to all your local suspension places with a few measurements Length Compressed Length Extended What ends you need (eyes, loops, whetever theyre called) i did this and got some air shocks to suit my 4" lifted brumby (but i had to cut one eye off and weld it back on, but turned around 90 degrees) oh and that was pedders suspension
  12. you can fix up the rear camber by starting with new bushings on the rear control arm thingy where it bolts to the torsion bar tube and if its still screwed up you can drill another hole on the torsion bar tube a little bit lower on the same bolt to push it further towards negative camber also with the rear torsion bar all it is really doing when you try to lift the car with it, is adding preload to the spring (torsion bar) so it will stiffen it up just the same as when you move the big adjustment bolt in the middle
  13. yeah all you gotta do is unbolt the 3 17mm's on the trailing arm and the 12mm that is underneath the tube near the end then just tap the trailing arm out with a hammer clean up the splines a bit and spray on some wd40 or anything like that to make things much easier then just position the trailking arm at the height you would like and slide it back in chuck the 3 17mm's back in and the 12mm at the bottom and youre done and you have gotta do it oin both sides i have done this before on a wagon... not really the best solution:confused: if you go as low as it looks like your front is, then you will basically be riding on the bumpstops in the rear you can get some extra suspension travel by removiong the bumpstops (they are meant to screw out, but ive never been able to) a setup similar to the rear of the l series would be the go, stiffen the rear up and have short stroke shocks and you should be laughing
  14. i use a couple plastic zip ties in mine... and they still pull the insides out of doj's before brealing the zip tie get yourself a 23 spline axle and stop worrying!
  15. good to see its all sorted chris have fun with it!
