  7. very cool , good luck with it . will probably rust to pieces before that motor quits. make sure you keep some oil on the dipstick ! i kinda liked the eddy van halen guitar paint job on the front end . all the best , murph

  9. i've had an axle nut come loose before on my 81 gl wagon , turned out to be a combination of a stripped out nut - and a poorly re- manufactured axle from discount auto . i don't go there anymore for important parts - check the threads and nut real good

  15. so ....it is a 5 speed ? mine is an automatic - lots of fun to drive - but i really like to shift myself ! let me know what u find on the rust , hope it's not too bad . no matter what you should do ok on your investment ! keep me informed please , thanks , murph

  18. uuuuummmmmmmmm , yeah ......... i'm pretty sure that they make chainsaws for takeing down trees , subarus are for driveing from place to place . not that you can't have fun with your subaru , but ..... you might want to rethink the vehicle abuse thing , hope thats not your daily driver !

  24. i have one in my garage , someday it will make it into my 81 gl wagon ...125 ?
  25. i had high oil pressure one time because the wire from the sending unit grounded itself out on the crankshft pully ( i didn't route it properly ) i know now the sending unit wire grounded out will max out the gauge . maybe this info will help you ? good luck , happy holidays ! murph
