  1. The tight radius silicone bends are super expensive...Well, at least 20 bucks more expensive then the piece I used. Here's a little secret I found...I needed to use one for isntalling my WRX TMIC... http://www.roadraceengineering.com/mandrelbends.htm Scroll to the very bottom under cast aluminum bends..2.25" 90 degree I guarantee that's thee tightest bend you'll find, but if you are looking for mandrel bent steel or aluminum (not cast) then check out these guys...I was trying to get some people together to buy like 10 intercooler tubing sets from these guys, but no one wanted to do it. I was thinking it'd be cool to pre order all the piping needed to install a Saab 900, WRX, or T-bird TMIC so when someone wanted to install an intercooler, I could just be like here's everything you need! http://www.woolfaircraft.com/elbow.htm Later, Dan
  2. Whoa whoa whoa.... The scoop on that YELLOW xt6 is actually from the 1st gen Nissan 280/300zx turbos...That's actually a really hard scoop to find, also that car has the hood vents. GeneralDisorder...Dude, this XT is in super good condition, I don't remember ever seeing an XT this intact...I understand the dime a dozen thing with ea82's and BF/BG style legacys but, EA81's especially ea81t's are so hard to find in the yards.
  3. Hey guys... Cruised down to Foster today and came across an '86 XT turbo...Burgundy and grey in color, VERY VERY MUCH INTACT....Seats are still there, turbo is gone, hoodscoop is there, sideskirts there...The only thing that I saw missing was just a few little interior trim pieces. Drop me a line if anyone wants me to pull something!
  4. All I have to say about installing a thermostat...Use the proper thermostat gasket and a SUPER SUPER thin layer of RTV sealant, there's an actual radiator/thermostat RTV that's water resistant, etc... Just my 2 cents
  5. Soo...Heh...Here's the fun part....Where can I find an o2 sensor for my car...Besides the dealer. Is the ea81t o2 the same as the ea81??? Or maybe the o2 sensor from an ea82t would work...Hmmmm
  6. Hey guys... I've been having this weird problem for a while now...No matter what the speed, I can be backing out of a parking spot, going like 25 outta my neighborhood or cruising down the freeway but when I give my car about 1/4 throttle (on my boost gauge it's like 1/2 way between vacuum and 0 boost) it sorta misses and stumbles, like it's almost hurting for spark or air. I have new NGK wires and plugs, my cap and rotor appear to be ok...I'm just wondering about my coil...I had an Accel and it died a few months back....Now I'm questioning the wiring of the new coil...How does it go...All black to one side, etc... Would the coil being wired wrong cause my car to miss/stumble at only 1/4 throttle? Or could it be something else??? Maybe a vacuum leak, AAV, TPS? Thanks, Daniel
  7. Well...There will be at least 5-6 of us cruising over together...We are all in Vancouver, Washington so it's a short drive for us. I think the total count will be like 10-12 of us all going together....Making an 84 boosted wagon, an ej22 powered 93 impreza, a jdm ej20g powered 91 turbo legacy, a 90 legacy wagon, a 96 2.5 gt wagon, and a 02 2.5ts....I'm sure there will be more! Later! Daniel
  8. Dude....You're car is so freakin sick! SUBACRU REPRESENT! Hahaha
  9. My Accell died after like a week...It was my Valentine's Day present from my GF...She was pissed. :-p
  10. Go for the rear disc conversion...I went to the yard today and got everything off a 93 Loyale...Rotors, calipers, backing plates, etc, everything for 40 bucks! Plus I snagged a ton of random hardware off 2 different cars to make sure I had enough bolts, washers, shims, etc... The conversion seriously took me like 40 minutes. It's WAYYYYYYYY worth it too.
  11. So, what about the rear disc conversion on say....An '84 turbo wagon??? Is the swap the same...Like just get the rear discs and swap em in??
  12. I'm looking for the Eagle or Enkei mags! If you can find those I'd be so happy...If not just some wagon wheels in GOOD shape please! Thanks! Dan
  13. Check out this post...Most of the information should be correct...I'm the moderator on this other board so, if it's wrong I'll change it! http://wartex.net/cttuners/viewtopic.php?t=15
  14. Dude, the waves looked like they were breaking pretty good...You musta been by shorty's or cannon beach.
  15. Hmmm.... I think I will have to disagree with Drquasievil. The ej22 isn't exactly a b16a or a d15...The ej22 has tons of potential. It will still get you "from point A to point B" but, with some goodies, it will be a lot more fun. And what does being 9 years old have to do with making your car fun? As a stock powerplant the 2.2 is rad...Tons of torque, decent hp...SUPER stiff valve springs, beautifully big pistons, etc... As for parts... There's 2.2 forged pistons, billet connecting rods, cams, SS valves, exhaust...There's tons of stuff for that motor to get it breathing better. Start with the basics...Give your car a good tune up...NGK wires, new plugs, a colder thermostat, etc...Then move onto other stuff...An intake is good, just make sure you get a good strong bracket so your MAS isn't jumping and shifting around...Then exhaust....There's tons of stuff to do, it just depends on your monetary situation. There's tons of places out there now...Check out: RalliTek http://www.rallitek.com/ ISR performance http://www.isrperformance.com/ Easy Street Motorsports http://www.esxmotorsports.com/esx.htm Tony Rigoli http://www.rigoliracing.com.au/ Boxer4racing http://home.att.net/~teaguesauto/ Cya Dan
  16. So here's my problem... I just bought a 1993 Impreza 1.8 AWD 4 speed automatic wagon, but I can't get it to run correctly. It will start kind of hard but once it warms up a bit it idles perfect. But, when I put the car into any gear (be it reverse, 1st, drive, etc) the car will just die. It seems to me like a computer/electrical glitch more than a mechanical one. Is there a automatic tranny speed sensor or something of that sort I can check out and replace? Thanks, Dan
  17. Check out www.powells.com. They are based in Portland, Oregon...When you find the book you want, you can enter your email address and as soon as they get a copy of the book in, they'll e-mail you. Hope that helps! I got my copy there for 12 bucks
  18. Wow.... Being that dirty and mossy...Taking that much carnage and bad weather....Check out those mudflaps....Dang those things still look nice. How much did you pic that up for?
  19. Hey guys.... How similar are Justy's and Festivas??? They look tons alike...Are they mechanically and cosmetically similar??? I've got a crazy crazy brainstorm for my Justy and just wanted some input. You guys may be able to put 2 and 2 together...It involves a Justy, which I think is very Festiva-esque and a B6T...Anyone catching on here????
  20. Hey guys, Came across this site today... http://www.subaru-global.com/sti/outline.html It's self explanitory...Just check it out!
  21. DUDE! HOLY CRAP! Everyone needs to watch those vids....At least the: The Sube assault on the best biggest dune we could find. High res - BIG File http://www.ausubaru.com/ausvids/Stockton02.WMV 11.4MB Seriously, those are the best vids that have ever been posted on here...That teal XT6 is freakin rad! All those cars sound soooooooo burly!!!! You get an Academy Award for best movie!!
  22. In addition to my last post...Check out the sizes and the centerline radius...Serious, this should make you guys cry with happiness!!!!!
  23. Dude...I've given this site out once or twice, but I'll do it again for the noobs... If you are looking for some serious mandrel bends, including SUPER SUPER tight radius 90 degree bends....Check out these guys www.woolfaircraft.com Maybe we can get some kinda group buy going with them...What do ya think??? Later, Dan
  24. I went for the Dynomax Super Turbo muffler on my EA81t...Part number 17742, it's basically a direct replacement for the stock muffler. It's super quiet, the only time I can ever hear it, is when I let off the gas or turn the car off. I think it was like 40 bucks.
