Does anyone notice...?
-
id like to get some time to make it to the local strip we have...but 'tis 1/8th mile. I need to gather up some autocross results..... oh, bump! Oh...and ive been busy at work today on da waggen...
-
I have personally only see 5A's....never seen a 3As. My guess...is maybe its the amp rating?? I dont know for sure...ive seen 5As in everything from carbed 5MT's to GL-10 turbo 3ATs....
-
Did anyone ever see that movie where a 1986 GL-10 turbowagon was the one and only subject of the film..? No? I did...i watch it everyday!
-
i think thats why my wagon was faster with the auto...never had to let off the gas to shift...constant 8lbs all the way...that and it was 125 lbs lighter.
-
220 is the first stage of m goal. it will not be so hard.....header, TBE, some boost, intake stuffs, WRX TMIC, the smaller cams....200~220 "stage 2" means internals and a larger turbo....275 hp? "stage 3" would mean more boost and the larger cams...along with a slightly different sent of internals. around 300 hp?

Suspension help for 86 GL10 wagon
WJM replied to Big Bear Suby's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I was not aware that the 4wd vs 2wd fron wagon springs were different....and that all 4wd struts are the same in aftermarket. TALL. 2wd are short. ive not seen any adjustable KYB's for these things....where can I find them? -
Ok guys, i thinking we need out own special place to discuss EA82T tuning and other bits with it....our own play ground. Head on over...lets get it going. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7402792#post7402792 Or... http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?p=7402795#post7402795 yeah yeah...nasioc. But there we have a higher chance of getting our own forum...as here...we were pretty well shot down. No, I am not abandoning USMB...but i am tired of everyone telling us what we can and cannot do with these engines. The technology of old has passed....new information, and products are avalible. Example: Nascar way back when....400 hp? WOW!! Now: only 750? um....you're gonna be in the back today buddy. I know thats maybe not the best example...but still...you get my point. So, let see some support!!

Ive never seen the aftermarket ones being adjustable. You CAN get the XT rear struts, and 4WD fronts....that will raise it about 2 inches front and rear. -
WTF: Have you EVER heard of this!!!!?????
WJM replied to Snowman's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
Just how hot is that? Mine was making strange noises during turns....and after the last autocross, i took the hub off to check the bearing...it was fine...but the nut was not that tight. Tighten it down all to F and back...and no more noise! -

A justy??? -
i am da fAstAr with dat!
-
here you go. ROFL LOL LOL LOL LOL
-
do you have both....so you could possibly measure....?
-
Its strange how my GL-10 was fAstAr with the 3AT than it is now with the 5SPD....maybe thats due to haveing to change gears AND the added weight of FT4WD stuffs....25xx something vs 2660 lbs... There is a bridge about .2 miles from where I pull out on to the "main road"...an a stock WRX can do 75..my old racer RX did 77...the GL-10 then did 70, andnow it can muster 68. The DL did 53 or so...LOL...and the other RX can get to ~62. Anyhow...looks like you've been busy!! Tex, grab some pics!

Ok, so i was looking thru th SUBARU Electronic Parts Catalog (SEPC) and I could not find the AC-PS-Water Pump belt tesnioner for the XT's...as mine decided to go ape $hit on me this morning on the way to work and i lost a belt too. So...you'ev got to get into the old AC book and look under the XT coupe section/Hitachi compressor...and there it is, a SOA number. Still 600 of them left in the country...bracket/pully assy. Its not that bad...only 40~50 USMB cost. Mine should be here tomorrow....then i can have my belts back right! Anyhow...back to t3h BS.... Gen3 EA82 control arms...2wd/4wd/auto/manual doesnt matter, they are all the same. XT too. the XT6...has different part number for them. But, again, 2wd/4wd etc...doesnt matter, all the same. the Q is...are the XT6 control arms LONGER than the EA82 Gen3's???? there are none left in the country for SUBARU, and the price for the pair is over $300...so...if they are logner, I need a pair. Does anyone know?
