  1. I know the cams pulled HARD to 8k on 3 other setups i had. I imagine...that with springs....we could take them to 9 before the cams are effectively 'out of parameters'
  2. IIRC...the 85 86 turbos used the same as the CARBs. In 1987+ all turbos came with specific turbo cams. Otherwise, SPFI and MPFI had specific cams....as well as CARB. This stright from the aprts catalog. i will look at my paper one again when i get home to confirm.
  3. with and N/A engine...it matters more for the intake runners and such...ona turbo engine....more air in, the better. PERIOD. At some point, I will get a larger TB on the RX, but on the STOCK intake manifold. I dont think the spyder/'flatty' difference will net any gains when they are used in turbo applications...large TB or not. N/A on the otherhand....there will be a difference. There IS a reason why the main chamber is larger on N/A subies vs turbop subies. Also, look at the nex 05+ N/A intake manifold....its a nice work of art. Turbo ones remain the same from 2000.
  4. TWE header, DP, intake.....thats 28 mpg around town and 35 hwy.
  5. the only signs of a failing one is te slippage....at least in my experience. adjust it first.
  6. There is one more...and its also a big brand name....but its a 'nissan brand' and 'jdm'
  7. I would...but....things like this get posted on her and answered and then a week later some one posts the Q again and no one has a clue. Plus its up to the discover'r to reveal the info...not I.
  8. Nope...the ones we have do not require special-ness....such as a 'press' :-p
  9. 50% of the graphs ive seen, this dyno or not, do not cross at 5252.
  10. Im only going to give one hint...as its classified and *I* dont have the say so to release the info.... They are COMMON and READILY AVALIBLE.
  11. those are HP/TQ numbers AT THE WHEELS. That translates into 150hp/155tq at the crank. Stock is 115/136. Yeah, for some reason the lines are NOT smooth like they were months ago. That will be fixed this weekend tho.
  12. There it is with the STI TMIC from months back....only other change is the fact that the axle back was a 2 inch with a glasspack. Noticeable power band change....
  13. TWE header, TWE Downpipe, WJM Rallye Sport Intake system Version 1, WJM Rallye Sport TWE-Back exhaust version 1 (2.5 inch, 1 3way cat, 1 glasspack), NO intercooler. Timing set to 22 deg BTDC at idle, 1000 RPM. Needs tuning. The big spikes there are some kind of....something. Dunno. Does it on other cars too...maybe the ignition signla readers need to be checked over and recalibrated. The engine is COMPELTELY STOCK, aka its a 7.7:1 engine again....JWX and I swapped out the pistons for stockers to make it FSP legal for Solo2 competition. Next, MS+EDIS, Air/Water Intercooler, install Cruise Control, AC lines and make the AC work again.
  14. I did hear a rumor from inside SOA that a limited number of 1989 black SEDAN RXs were produced. I have no evidence to back this up tho.
  15. GL-10 is the top of the line lux model....GL is the middle...DL is the stripped down econo version. RXs in 1985 and 1986 were only in sedan form. RXs in 1987 and 1988 were avalible in sedan and 3 door coupe. 1989 was coupe only for RX. DL, GL, GL-10 came in 4 ways.....Sedan, Wagon, 3 Door Coupe, and XT. GL and GL-10 had turbo option avalible. ALL had 4WD and FT4WD (1987+) optional. RX's had FT4WD standard from 87+, and PT4WD in 85 and 86. XT's also came in XT6 (2.7 flat 6, 145 hp 156 tq) form in 1988 1989 and 1991.
  16. Coilovers are good for the people who have an actual use for them and who know how to use them properly. Examples: Racing...either track or autox...or rally. Show cars...lowering/raising them to the desired height. Street...for the ultimate driving experience...usually the street car is used as an autox/rallyx car as well. I do not recommend coilovers to people who will not use them to their max potential....usually STi struts and a set of _________ springs does just fine for them. My outback will never have coilovers...why? STi stuts on stock springs with F/R sway bars will make it handle how i want it for a street car. My RX will ALWAYS have coilovers. Why? Its the 'race car' and it will ALWAYS have handling before power. Why can I keep up with STi's and etc on the Dragon? It handles better than anything else on the road up there. Strightaway...ok, I'll catch you guys in that corner up there.
  17. No need. We have found 60MM studs...that are COMMON....as common as....as any other SUBARU and Nissan out there. reason i ask before i post answer...to see if anyone has done the proper research. Think...these 'old cars' are not so 'old'...........
  18. the Ultimate SM RX will feature an ER27 with dual garrett roller bearing twin scroll turbos.
  19. Any ideas on longer wheel studs for the older subies?
