  1. The intake port on the head has a coolant passage right next to it, and they share the same gasket. I had one leak like that before.
  2. EG33 has most.....But then again the newest EZ30D has alot more power than it did before...but I dont have the specs on it handy.
  3. $80~$100 plus parts for the dealer to do it....thats if its the SPFI or Carb system. I'll do it for $20 plus parts. But you are a tad too far away. :-\
  4. If you are going to keep everything, why not have a spare unibody too? Id just keep the whole car. I cant stand to let anything EA82 suby related (or anything suby related) leave and go to waste.
  5. I run mine all the time. Got R compund tires for it and all. I run in Street Mod. Some pretty quick cars run locally...a supercharged civc, a 2.5 RS coupe, all with built up engines and full suspension coilovers and so on.... I out run them with my RX.
  6. http://www.auto-x.com/ I'll be at the test and tune.
  7. I will be out your way SUNDAY for the Triad Autox(auto-x.com i think)...and you can see what a modd'ed RX can really do... The RX sedan would make an excellent daily/rally beater provided a recirc valve is installed and you really take the steps needed, and carefully, to get the car back to reliable streetable status (reseal the engine, run synthetic oil, go over the cooling system VERY VERY carefully...etc etc...its not that hard really). More to come later...
  8. Where in NC are you? BUY IT BUY IT NOW!!!!! RX's are the bomb. What year is it? I am in Asheville NC...it possible we could get together and take a look at it. Here's my RX:
  9. 1 in the clips, at the back...its all 2.5 inches. Now I have a 3 way cat thats 2.5 inches, and a 2 inch glass pack at the back.
  10. Smoked it not the right word....at the dragon, smoking and slightly dull red is accurate...lately its been ON FIRE and Rio Red glowing.
  11. Equal length will take the boxer away. Tuned length is actaully TUNED to the engine's exhaust pulses, and will not nessisarily take or bring the boxer sound. With a stright pipe, the Tuned length TWEs will take the boxer sound away. The Un-equal length stock headers on all subarus is what causes the boxer sound. The borlas are semi-tuned pipes that are better than stock but are still 50% crap....and mostly dont fit right, and give the boxer sound a grumble with the right cats and cat back.
  12. Ok, im staying solids and trying out some new pads.
  13. I would put the glass pack at the back where the muffler should go... WHY? Because there it will catch all the resonating high pitch stuff and it will sound great.
  14. My problem is that I get ALOT fo heat build up. How am i supposed to keep the rotor cool? I mean...i get it GLOWING RED all the time? I thought the slots were to help carry gases off so there was less fade....im thinking drilling helps in cooling AND gasses...
  15. Meausure it. Last time I looked it didnt. 28MM and 24MM. U pick! :-p
  16. Header is what makes a subaru sound like a subaru..even with the exh i had for a long time...catless...but under the stock shells...it sounded great and was quiet. with the TWE's...the exhaust flows PROPERLY...and with a larger diameter...its jsut plain LOUD and with the tuned lenght header, the boxer sound goes away if there isnt anything to take away the high pitched junk out of the sound.
  17. thats EXACTLY what brings the boxer sound back and takes away all the annoying-ness of the stright pipe sounds.
  18. damnit...for the last time......... Oh and Porter and the guys at Top Speed are SUPER!
