  1. No, better....a VISCOUS LSD center. Like the WRX/STi and all other AWD MT EJ subies have.
  2. I get 27~31 hwy with the RX as it sits now. ~24 around town....~18 under 'racing' conditions.
  3. I've got Jerry at Deadbolt working on a nice hybrid turbo. 200 AWHP comming soon.
  4. 5k for my Motul and Mobil. I always go 3k on the non synth stuff.
  5. Ditto. Only standard on RX's and that 89 GL-10 turbo FT4WD wagon. Otherwise...optional, but 90% of the turbo stuff out there is open diff.
  6. Its sprung weight. Unsprung weight is anything BELOW the spring, including 1/2 of the spring and strut. Aka traling arms, control arms, knuckles/hubs/rotors/calipers/wheel-tire...etc...
  7. My car costs 1/8th of a new WRX as it sits now. Its about a 50/50 rate of ppl around here to do their own work or just ahve someone else do it...then there are those who let someone else do it, but participate with the install or what not. What got me worked up last night is a good friend of mine really degraded the car badly.
  8. to my knowledge, no one has extracted 230 hp from an EA82T in the country with stock turbo/stock internals and no "NOS".
  9. Even then i'd not be 'done with it'....lol....after all, ive got that racing bug and that skill within me. And I have since de-decaled the car....so its no longer a stand out of the normal cars now basically.

  12. Some of them know whats what and know the RX is really fast. Some I dont care about and those are the said 'ricers' and they dont usually come out and play anyhow. Its the rest who think that the car is stupid and pointless along with its pilot...and they are STILL blind to it when they get outrun by said car/pilot.
  13. Non-US spec Legacy/Impreza/Foresters had Dual Range transmissions. Every forester in Germany that I seen was 5spd AWD D/R.
  14. I remember when i got the RS....seemed as if I suddenly existed. People still think I have the RS. I dont. I traded it for an RX and parts. Suddenly once word gets around that that I dont...i dont exist.
  15. After putting down massive numbers over stock, outrunning a TON of fast cars and having no issues outrunning WRX's and keeping up with STi's with no problems on fast curvey roads... Still no respect. I am pissed. Seems like you must own a ricey WRX/STi thats only marginally faster than stock to be respected...or atleast an RS with a suspension/brakes/exhaust/other.

  18. Jimmie Higgins/Higgins Automotive in Salisbury NC. They are south of Salisbury about 3 miles in hwy 29....not too far off of I-85. He's got everything you could possibly need for the Gen3/EA82 stuff.....not much Gen 1/2 stuff left tho.
  19. factory AC is installed inbetween the PS pump and ALT. Dealer AC is on the outside of all that...WAY out by its self on the disty side of the engine. Thats how I tell...but then again its hit or miss on the WP issue.
