Here is a shot of the GL-10, super solid and complete. Auto tranny. Guy said he used to just buy subies by the dozen from auctions and part them out.

I guess it was his dads, the tranny went out, 4 speed D/R so they took it out and never put another back in so it just chills.

Next time I go by I will look for you. Might not be until spring though. He also has a GL-10 wagon I want to steal all of the rear disc setup off of. And a really nice 82 wagon with great condition brown plaid seats!

79 brat bumpers ?
Ha I just updated my ride thread with a factory winch bumper I traded a guy a stock one for today. It is identical to the one on the front of that Brat you have a pic of, only with more expanded metal on it.

!RESCUED! 1980 Subaru Brat
Check it out, it even has a fiberglass tonneau cover that is hinged off of it. Don't know if I've ever seen anything like it before.

Well for one it has unicorns etched onto all of the glass! Haha has a custom interior as well. It also has a fiberglass piece that covers the back window and has louvers that's are pretty cool.

!RESCUED! 1980 Subaru Brat
Thanks turbo, that's about what I figured. In this case it's not for sale and will be mounted on the front of my brat, my wife says I should leave the surface rust on it and the rollbar to give it a cool aged rat rod kind of look. I don't know though.

!RESCUED! 1980 Subaru Brat
Yeah dude, pretty awesome. This particular guy has a pretty good stash of subaru stuff too. Including two Gen 2's and a unique Gen 1 brat.

!RESCUED! 1980 Subaru Brat
Here it is laying on its front, you can see the two holes that were used to mount the winch. It would be pretty cool to find a factory winch to put on there!

!RESCUED! 1980 Subaru Brat
Traded a stock front 1st Gen bumper for this incredible one. A factory subaru winch bumper that someone had modified a long long time ago. It's in really nice shape! I wonder what it's value is?

- The elusive hunt for a new EA71 water pump!
It just seemed funny to me cause I thought I could just walk into a parts store and get a water pump. Thankfully i've got you fellers to help me out, now what is that last water pump out of?- what i have learned about having a brat so far.
Yeah man I agree, my car has been sitting in the garage going on two weeks now with a brand new weber on it...but no water pump haha. Real bummer, just glad it's not a daily driver.- The elusive hunt for a new EA71 water pump!
This thing looked so old and funky, we couldn't even find any info on it at the parts store. The problem that I had with ordering one was there was no specifying wide block or top starter mount and I've never even been to rockauto.com before but maybe I will now haha. Thanks guys!- The elusive hunt for a new EA71 water pump!
And finally...the mystery water pump that came in the box my water pump should've been in! Anyone have any idea what it is for?- The elusive hunt for a new EA71 water pump!
Another shot of the EA82.- The elusive hunt for a new EA71 water pump!
EA82 water pump, I didn't buy this just wanted to show it.- The elusive hunt for a new EA71 water pump!
Another pic of that same pump.- The elusive hunt for a new EA71 water pump!
