  1. Never did an H6 engine swap but subarus are one of the easiest engines to change. About a six hour swap. As for doing it that all depends on if the body is in good shape. Is it rusty ?
  2. If the engine was borked, it would be making "Bork! Bork! Bork! (think Swedish Chef) noises. LOL That's my new sig line.
  3. Spark Plugs and wires, Fuel filter, air filter. Is the check engine light on? Check belts for ware and proper adjustment.
  4. use the indented line. The keyway on the crank should be down near 6 oclock.

  6. Is there any way to change the upstream o2 on a 2003 fozi without dropping the exhaust from the engine?
  7. We have a local shop that did from my rear cat back to the bumper with new muffler for $100 bucks.
  8. Was that going down hill?. My 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a 5.2 v8 will read in the 60 to mpg range on the display going down hill at 70 mph. LOL
  9. If you get a set that runs from 8mm to 17mm you will be fine. I think the lock down nuts are 12mm.
  10. Better off using OE because most others are a waste of money. Rock auto has DENSO Part # 2345003. 95 will not work.
  11. I had something like that happen on a carburetor Ea82. It had bad throttle rod bushings, When it would get heated up it would stick. Sounds like your problem though is due to the cable.
  12. Wouldn't hurt to have the cooling system flushed out before you change the T stat..
  13. You should also clean the butterfly in the throttle body and lube up all the linkage on the outside of the throttle body..
  14. Sounds like a bad cable. It could be frayed in the casing causing it to stick.
  15. Maybe because you need four things for a gas engine to work. Fuel, air. spark and compression. that's why I said check it.
  16. That fuel could have just been built up pressure.. Next step after you are sure it is getting fuel do a compression check.
  17. May be a charging problem. Start the car then test voltage at the battery. Alternator should put out close to 14 volts. Also you can clean the plugs with a wire brush.
  18. Yes run from that shop. Rockauto has Front brakes and rotor kit for as low as $66 bucks plus shipping.
  19. I didnt know it already had a swap done. AdventureSubaru maybe right then, they may not be compatible if the 2.2 in there now is phase one. look on the 2.2 in the outback and see if the head bolts are outside the valve covers
