  1. sounds good, his plans are to stop here coming from pa , i will have a hot meal + a bed , thursday morning is the only day i will be gone :cool:
  2. also, check the timing belt tension. a loose or slack belt on the driver side can cause the distributor to backlash as the cam passes over the vlalve springs, and this can cause a slight knocking sound on the driver side and at the distibutor.
  3. northwet [pat] left here saturday evening 10 pm , i know he made a few calls , a few hours after he left we had 2-3 inches of snow , so he is more than likely ahead of the snow, also it should be 600 miles from my house to paul's
  4. he arrived about 5am saturday morning , as of 11 am he is still sleeping, i have seen my wife has started to defrost a few steaks to eat , i will post the time that he leaves here , in my opinion a good hot meal is always best when traveling ,

  7. i heard from northwet [pat] as of 7 pm friday night , he was 50-60 miles into illinois on I-74 heading to indiana ,then to my place , he should be here around 2 am saturday morning , ford is running good etc...

  11. got a message from northwet , he is still in laramie ,wy waiting for a part for his tow car, should be in des moines, iowa friday afternoon / evening
  12. the gl-10s have better seats , door panels are better, digital dashes, some of the gl-10s were turbo , some had sunroofs , roof racks,
  13. i have a 86 sedan which did the same thing , the thermostat was bad , [ closed] and the temp gauge would not even go a 1/4 of the way up even in the summer , changed it and it was fine
  14. yes be carefull , hi tomorrow near 60 , rain, as you get closer i will know just about the time you will get here ,9:30 it is thunder + lighting ,go figure
  15. check radiator , make sure all the fans are working , or flush out the radiator , or thermostat is bad,
  16. weather here is rain no chance of snow, but IOWA looks nasty, if you take 30 from chicago it is all 4 lane though indiana, and most of ohio, and 30 goes to I-75 , take 75 south to exit 99 get off exit ramp turn right , go to stop light turn left go though next stop light [ honda plant] and i am down 1-2 miles from there , i live on county road 25a, if any problems call me , you should have my phone #
