  1. there was a thread some time back , my 84 brat has no rust in the bed and i want to keep it that way , something about fixing where the shock bolts are or something like that ,any info ? thanks

  3. will a generation1 topper from a 77 brat fit onto a 84 brat , it is a hi topper?
  4. i was able to set in one at the dayton ,ohio car show , no manuals, no turbo's , started making them sunday april 3rd
  5. might try a tune up , fuel filter , clean air filter , also change pvc,
  6. i have had my acell coils on both my cars for close to a year with no problems , but mpg has been less on the turbo full time 4wd a/t wagon , it was getting 25city then around 21 , took out big fat cat went back up to 23 city , so your saying my acell coil is slowly going bad ?

  8. went and saw the 2005 TRIBECA , got 2 free tickets ,vip, ate a snack , anyway pretty nice, the 7th seating is ok, but no way will a full size person fit back there , everything else real nice , dvd player, thing on dash,etc...
  9. if it is the same as mine 88 turbo full time 4wd wagon , yes the turbo has to be taken off along with exhaust , while you there replace the oil line also , rubber hose into metal line
  10. kinda the same thing here , temp gauge would go up into the red and stay there 30-40 sec, then drop down , changed t-stat fixed problem ,temp gauge stays steady 1/2 way
  11. since it is a non turbo won't the exhaust be real loud ? since your running no cat ?
  12. kinda like me i picked up a xt6 very cheap, mine more than likely has more rust than yours , but i gave very little money , why do we keep buying them ? as my wife says
  13. not rusty , were subaru nuts , my helper put them on while i was working on something else :-\
  14. yes i tried everything , they were off a few weeks ago , different nuts were put back on ,so i gave up for now , wife needed car
  15. hey karinvail did you see a difference after the big fat cat was gone ? hp or mpg , seems my bolts will not break loose ,
  16. problem i am having is the bolts on the motor side [ turbo ] are way to tight , any easy way to get them off ? 4 -14mm bolts

  18. ok, i want to be able to burn rubber on dry payment ,when i am done ,and get 25mpg city over 30 highway ,with a a/t full time 4wd turbo wagon
  19. is it nesessary to have heat shields on if the cat is gone ? the heat shields around the first cat coming down from a 88 turbo full time 4wd a/t wagon . since there will be less heat, , the heat shield that is around the pipe it self , and also do you think a muffler shop can weld the pipe on without taking the pipe off the motor ,from underneith ? or the top side , thanks
  20. same thing was going on with me , changed the t-stat and the temp gauge stays steady after it opens up
  21. i am getting a custom made pipe for my turbo wagon ,[the first cat big one] 2 inch pipe all the way to the turbo muffler
  22. this past weekend we replaced both ball joints, all wheel bearings, seals, both drive axles, the ball joints were bad, and also the inner boots of the drive axles were bad, and it stll pulls alitte to the right
  23. yes be very careful i broke the back half of mine, cost was 61 bucks to replace
  24. already tested for power at the switch , i just ran a wire from the fuse box to the greem/ white wire
