  1. same thing happaned to me on my 2000 outback , but i was not sure which quick lube place did it, i called a local subaru dealer and they sent me a new tranny filter , and took it to a quick lube and watched them do the job and flushed out the tranny , both filters look the same underneith the car
  2. 185-70r 13s, but some tire places will only mount what the mfg says on the door frame, goodyears are pretty good,
  3. to bad your so far off , i would aleast look at it , it is pretty good on gas
  4. 20-w 50 is not to thick . when you use 10w 40 + alot of mmo it will thin it out ,
  5. in ohio the plates go with the person ,not the car , so when you buy a used car ,both parties have to get the title noterized , then the buyer can get a 30 day tag and drive it home ,
  6. some one with a ea 81 , can answer this better , sitting in the car , right above your left knee there is a piece of panel ,that should pop out , and above this there is connecting wires , something about, key on postion , connect wires , turn key off unplug , this should clear this up
  7. something about a timer thing, when the car hits some many miles the light will come on , by putting 2 wires togather and turn key on then off and unplug the wires ,
  8. so i guess the case of wix filters i got off ebay for 20 bucks was a good buy , 12 in a case , w shipping 2.00 ea
  9. is the blower working [fan speed] ? if not ,mine did the same thing on my 86 sedan, i ran a wire from from the green/white from the blower and ran it to the fuse box , and it works fine , mine would shut off after a few minutes of working , it may not be the right way to fix it ,but it works
  10. napa has full gaskets sets also ,and plenty of them
  11. i am not a ea 81 guy, which means i do not have any all mine are ea82 motors, i sold my brat, now tom from hillsdale mi can help you, well a tune up, good wires, ngk plugs, air filter , take some sea foam and pour it down the carb , it works great,change both fuel filters,

  13. what i was saying is miles fox may have put a a/t into it , because the tranny was bad, and i gave miles the tranny which i got out of a sedan, you could always put 4wd into it , without to much $$ , this spring i am going to put either a s/r or d/r into my 3 door , i have both tranny's and rear stuff, only thing i would need is the rear disc
  14. woody's, u- wrench, there was a hatch back that was at a used car lot , edinton ,oh something like that , that miles fox put a 2wd a/t into for the owner last fall,
  15. welcome , i am only a couple hours south of you , and you are pretty close to miles fox, there are a few more, alleyboy in columbus, ohio, tom in hillsdale mi, i have 3 subaru's , 2 wagons, 1- 3 door, in the spring we are meeting in columbus for a meet , and going junking in a few yards which has alot of good subaru parts, ,
  16. but the k-n you can wash out and use again , can you do this to other filters ?
  17. did you gap the plugs at .45 to .50 ? i advanced my timming and i am not running higher octine 26 mpg city
  18. up date, pat left here 8pm wednesday night, headed for springfield , mo , and then to iowa , he is thinking late tomorrow night early friday morning in IOWA, he slept here and had a few good meals , even though i had a very bad infected tooth ,
