  1. yes i have done that before
  2. changed the blower motor ,but still no blower ,in fact no power going to the blower , i checked all fuses ,
  3. are ea81 blowers the same as ea82's ? and the location of the blower motor on a 84 ea81 brat
  4. trying running 15w -40 motor oil , it worked for my 86 spfi a/t fwd sedan
  5. i am getting mine done as we speak , no big fat cat

  7. as far as the ticking goes try 15w 40 motor oil , i did and it took the ticking away , may not be fixing it but it worked
  8. the dealer i call wanger subaru , always knows what i am talking about + most of the time will tell me what size of wrench it takes or how to get to it ,
  9. well replaced both sides wheel bearings [seals], replaced both ball joints, [were bad] found out both inner boots of the drive axles were split .[replaced them both ] but the car still pulls to the right , not when the brakes applied , so i guess it needs a aligment ?
  10. i have a a 88 TURBO full time 4wd a/t wagon, if i was to remove the catalytic converter ,the one right at turbo [ football shape] and put 2 in or larger pipe there ,and run 2in pipe all the way back to exhaust , how much more hp would i get ? how about mpg ? + make car run alittle cooler ?
  11. it is a 88 full time 4wd a/t wagon , tires are balanced, all the same size, proper tire pressure , the car pulls to the right going down the road ,not when the brakes are applied , not real bad , thinking it might be a bad tire switched fronts to back ,still the same problem , any help suggestions ? thanks
  12. my 86 fwd sedan does that ,only when it is 0 or below , and just a few times, and i had a a new oem water pump put on 2,000mi ago , it could be the water pump gasket or 0 ring ,

  14. are you sure that your thermostat is working like it should? mine went bad and it was 1 month old or a air pocket some where , but it could be a hg problem also
  15. i just got a xt6 awd 5sp , paid alot less for mine

  17. i forgot to say also, both my belts were alittle loose , and they are not oem belts , both are tight now , today i will start it up again and see what she does , thanks
  18. well after it cooled off a few hours it seemed to work alot better after i replaced the thermostat ,thanks
  19. new water pump, in fact oem , gasket, o ring
  20. i posted it before , can not find it anyways, changed thermostat , coolant set at -15 , all fresh, changed cap, all air pockets gone, but it still seems to have the same problem as before, temp gauge goes up 3/4 way , thermostat opens ,goes to 1/2 , this seems good, but some times it will not open until it gets close to the red , but after a half hour on the road it will stay in the middle, all ok,
  21. another opinion would be a weber carb, yes they cost some $ but worth it after it is tuned up right , they say more hp and mpg , i have one 1 on my 84 brat , but not really drove it alot yet
  22. yes i did , it fits into like a slot, but will double check tomorrow
  23. my heater has been working great all 4 speeds , after letting it cool down , i drove it 65mph ,the thermostat opened up just above 1/2 , and the temp gauge moved down alittle to 1/2 way , it seems to be better
