hey tom try running 15w-40 ,my 86 sedan has the same problem , but it has good oil pressure but a very bad tick

my 84 brat may not go to the meet , it's either linkage with the throttle sticking or clutch slipping ,it goes into gear ok, but after it's in gear it feels like it slips , but i can take my 88 dl d/r wagon

i can bring jack stands, small jack , but i can only stay until sunday morning

ok i switched coils ,put on a acell coil, now no tack ? could i have fried the tack ? or switched wires some how ? i put a acell coil onto my 84 d/r brat

i finally heard from miles fox last night about 11pm

not heard from him since monday , he made it home with a few car problems

where is the cheapest place to buy royale purple + shipping , i found it for 5.50 qt includes shipping ,

maybe check ac relay ,on my 86 sedan it was on the passanger side under the hood

the blue brat parts are for another brat guy in my home town , i already have another 84 a/t blue brat sitting in my garage ,which i got from tom in hilsdale MI + a spare 4sp d/r tranny in with the deal :banana:but i will send a box of tissue just for you all wrapped up

yes i heard that to , also a guy with 3 company trucks that was at the store i was buying amsoil at said that his 3 v8 trucks were getting 2-3 mpg more using royale purple , i may try it myself , you can buy it for like 5.50 qt shipped or around that ,

if anyone is looking for parts please post and i will look around my garage and see if i have it or more than 1,also if anyone has extra gen2 brats parts and want to sell them bring them along ,there will be a few of us that have brats

i think it will ,the cost at first is higher but over a year it all comes out the same 5.95 ea x 4 = 23.80 , change oil every 12,000mi ,change filter every 6,000mi , and of course 1 extra qt for small leaks or burning , or regular oil at 1.79 qt every 3,000mi ,but i am only using amsoil oil right now , which is = to it , now for what grade 20-w50 or 15w -40 ? i guess it all depends on where you live ? hot all the time or pretty cool outside+ use a good filter , wix, ,bosh, mobile1, just my opinion

yes i have heard about it ,i am using amsoil oil just about like it in my 88 dl d/r wagon with 187,000mi , 1 thing i have seen is that it will seep more even after all seals were replaced , royale purple claims better hp, mpg , .also aleast using amsoil it gave me 5-10 lbs more oil pressure , with a after market pressure gauge ,

turbo full time 4wd a/t wagon 22-23 city, 88 dl d/r 4wd wagon 24-25 city , 86 brat with weber 25 -26 city
