  1. on the cluster ,yes there is a switch on the steering wheel ,wondering if a away to by pass the switch with a toggle switch
  2. sorry 99 forester has bad passanger side cv axle, i have a spare good axle from a 95 legacy L sedan , wondering if it will fit ? my mistake
  3. seems to be the switch, do not have one, would there be away to put a toogle switch to turn on the dash lights or not , or a relay some way, to replace ,thanks or where would the relay located, checked all fuses ,and under hood, ?
  4. will a axle from a 95 sedan awd fit onto a 99 awd forester ,both a/t , thinking it will not ,but worth a try ?
  5. yes coolant , put cardboard on floor and found green coolant on cardboard several times now, center of motor right where u would put a floor jack if jacking up car in the front, all heater hoses were dry , i hope no hg
  6. ok, thinking 1300 is alittle hi , drivers seat needs replaced , broken on one side, also wheel bearing + tires,
  7. ok, yes did a search , owner thinks motor has been replaced, asking 1300
  8. 155,000 mi 5 speed, white, front wheel drive, good points ? bad points ? or things that are common problems ,yes basic car ,
  9. took it for drive , parked it ,started to leak between motor and tranny quarter size, no bubbles in over flow, under cap looks good, heater hoses good, radiator hoses good, nothing leaking on top of motor,
  10. ok, funny thing is all i did was change the coolant , drained and filled flushed out with water only, did not leak before,
  11. got some sealant , still leaks but only leaks after driving it and sitting with motor off size of a quarter , so trying to see where it leaks , checked all hoses after sitting all nite, all look good , but will drive it again and check again , any suggestions
  12. great post , got it all sealed up no leaks could have been to much coolant in reserever also
  13. yes, looking closer seems like it coming from the water pump area instead , may need new water pump + gasket , thasnks
  14. called dealer , no longer available , i guess replace head gasket
  15. yes i know the subaru conditioner is better , but is there any other stuff that works as good, that can be found at any parts store ? it will take aleast 3 days to get here and wanted to put it in today ? thanks
  16. no subaru stuff put in yet, no burp, just drained and filled flushed out with water used good name coolant, seems to come from center of motor, thanks merry christmas / happy new year
  17. flushed out changed the coolant in my 2000 legacy 2.5 a/t now leaking alittle coolant size of a quarter , :horse:any comments , hg ? going ready to blow, 127,000mi
  18. not sure about hg , i delivery at the plant where they are made, i asked a few people there, they suggested changing the coolant more often, than what the manual said,

  20. thanks, also seems like the rear drivers side caliper goes on real tight, remembering , i have a whole hub new bearing , for a 99 forester will it work or not ?
