  1. ok on rotate tires, yes a alittle vibation on floor board, but i could not feel it, but other board member could , as far as speed 30- 40 mph, but only 1/4 turn , meaning ,sounds almost like flat spot on tire,
  2. noise all the time but at higher speeds , you can hear it, i already jacked up car and grabbed the top and bottom , thinking it might be a wheel bearing, tires are ok shape, not new , could it be a broken belt inside the tire , 126,000 mi a/t
  3. a fellow board member was down saturday, and sat in passanger side while i drove it , noise comes from drivers side rear , or rear for sure , but only 1/4 turn makes a alittle noise, does not matter if brakes are app[lied , already did the 12- 6 methold , new calipers and pads , all were good, greased everything etc.. tom think u- joint / drive shaft ?? any other possible things ?

  5. 99 forester, a/t , last few years during cold weather ,after it warms alittle , seems slughish , during warmer weather fine, thinking coolant termp, ? are all coolant temp sensors the same for 2.5 or different ? ,thanks
  6. how much coolant will leak out from the block , i have a block heater and never installed it, oem given to me, brand new, are the threads all the same size, ?
  7. ok, seems like a noise drivers side rear but did the 12- 6 test, but thinking it could be the rear caliper because it fits real tight or wrong caliper or bad tire ? , noise is not all the time just certion roads like 60 mph,
  8. are all wheel bearings + hub the same ? using a hub and new wheel bearing for a 99 forester will it fit in a 2000 legacy ? thinking they are different
  9. checked several stores, the starter solenoid is like 100 bucks, pretty high ,when u can buy a starter for 109 bucks, any one got a link for a cheaper place ?
  10. may just switch starters , and fix the bad one later, as stated it starts but after 2-3 tries some times, so thinking it will get worse over time, no noise from starter, thanks

  12. are all starters the same in 2.5 motors , like 97 outback , and all were a/t ? if that is the problem ?
  13. it starts every time , just not the first time you turn the key, ok, on the starter, but no noise , just turn key back and try again it it starts, battery not new , but ok,
  14. sister in law , 98 forester, 190,000mi a/t , when you turn the key it does not always start , but after the 2nd or 3rd time it starts fine, but does not do it all the time, i am thinking maybe coil pack ? , not sure when last tune up was, any comments ? thanks

  16. my power steering gets alittle stiff when it is cold out , like below 0 , 2000 legacy L AT , wagon, i changed the fluid or sucked it all out, is the power steering going out slowly or something else, or use better fluid , yes i use a/t tranny fluid,
  17. well in ohio they spray the roads with real bad stuff, the calipers were fine just rebuilt both sides, + clips , i have replaced the rear caliper last year, and a caliper on a 95 brother -in -law,
  18. looked at the other side , just cleaned up everything , bleeded again , seems good now, thanks
  19. got it, now air in the line , but finally got it, thanks, may rebuild the other side, also , real simple , thanks all , learned something today,since the weather is real warm out , makes it easier to work on cars,
