  1. yes, around the fuel neck , dealer only part, did she fill it up ?
  2. got different calipers today, now no brakes, gave up , pedal all the to the floor, bleed all 4 , as soon as i move the car pedal goes to the floor, new master cyclinder , new pads/ rotors, new calipers, no brake light on , the reason for new calipers was brakes heated up badly ,could it be the brake booster, ? will a brake booster from a 97 outback work, ? how hard is it to change, ?
  3. going to replace both calipers, front, all new bolts, boots, , if it still heats up then what,
  4. how hard is it to rebuild calipers, never have done it before

  6. need a place to get a rebuld kit for rear disc brakes , caliper rebuilt, a friend of mine needs one , no pc , are the front rebuild kits the same
  7. bleed again and again, pedal is good now, but still both front brakes heat up to much, so calipers are next to replace,
  8. replaced master cyclinder , bench bleed it, bleed all four , still low pedal, and front brakes heat up, no brake light on, any suggestions ? thanks

  11. i am guessing all 4 , which it still needs rear brakes also
  12. thinking it is the master cyclinder , any trick in changing it,
  13. decided to drive 2000 legacy, new front brakes, it seems like the front brakes get to hot , touched the rotors both sides and almost burnt my finger , thinking my calipers are bad or sticking , yes i greased the pins, and pistons went in fine, just how warm should the rotors get ?
  14. ok, going to do the rears, next week, yes i know all at one time, ran out of time, 3 oil changes, 1 other brake job, now are the rears different sizes also ?
  15. did the front only , 10.5 in rotor, new pads, the pedal still seems alittle low yet , but alot better than before , bleed the brakes 3 times,
  16. 2000 needs front brakes, parts store says could be different size rotors, 9 inch or 11 inch, just replaced brakes on forester , 99, no different sizes, measured rotor 11 inch, ? just wondering,
  17. well i replaced the shims, and bolts came in a kit, kelp the old shims and bolts, thanks
  18. maybe a dumb question , whats the real purpose of the shims , i put new shims in place,
  19. did the front brakes pads/ rotors on my 99 forester , found to be no shims ,
