  6. yes the car runs. how do I check the referance voltage? and how do I clear the codes
  7. I wanted to see if I could find out if its low before I go tearing into the engine, which is why I wanted the specs for oil pressure for an EA-81
  8. ok I checked the ECU codes on my 87 GL-10 and heres what I got 11-crank angle Sensor or circuit 13-Crank angle sensor or circuit. why is there two diff codes for the same thing? 14-fuel injector-abnormal output 21-coolant temperature sensor or circuit 24-air control valve or circuit 31-Throttle sensor or circuit. Is this the TPS? 34-EGR solenoid or circuit 35-purge control solenoid or circuit 42-idle switch or circuit so how do I check these out? I'm hoping Skip sees this
  9. I do run Castroil GTX 10w-30 I just wanted to see if the high mileage stuff was any good and if I should step up to 20w-50. and does anybody have the specs for the oil pressure, and the links for oil test page(s)?
  10. so it oil change time for my hatch and i wanted to ask some questions before I go get some oil and a filter. Ok, so I think my oil pressure is low, what the spec's for it? I can't find it in my FSM (it might be missing some pages) or my owners manual. I also wanted to get your guys opinon on the new High mileage oils (like the Castroil(sp) GTX high mileage) and anybody still have the oil test links?

I haven't had much time to work on it (likely excuse I know) and the Dellotro carb is kind of intimidating me(its got a lot of stuff to adjust on it) so I might try to get a doce weber and put on it for right now. I got the mold and mildew smell out of it( he let it set out uncovered for a while with the back glass broke). but, you could say its coming along nicely (read slowly) and once agian it comes down to the fact, I don't have that much money to throw at it anymore (I quit my job)

  19. and I have a green -l and a white - connector which one do I need to have pluged in to check the codes
  20. on my 87 GL-10 SPFI how do I do it? I've looked at the ECU and I don't see any lights on it. I searched before and found skips(I think it was his anyway) write up on how to do it but I forgot and can't find it now

  23. just bring it in as a "show car" then swap the vin plate with another impreza(that you would have to own) wait I didn't say that. lol
