gettin at my wits end....
95legwagon replied to 95legwagon's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXagreed LOL i want to soooo bad cuz i miss a 5spd. thats all ive owned until this subaru and a truck. but first id need a detailed parts list on what i need ( and whether i can buy certain things used and be fine or not) i know id need a 5mt (obviously) pedals, clutch plate, flywheel, clutch master and slave cylinder, some wiring has to be done, without getting a new center console id hafta get a short throw shifter, a matching rear diff, mt tranny crossmember, driveshaft for mt for a wagon. am i missing anything? (pretty sure i am) any places that have really good prices on certain things? thanks jarrid

gettin at my wits end....
well ive already replaced this tailshaft housing gasket on my 4eat. (btw 95 leg wagon ej22) it lasts for like a week then starts leaking right on the cat. and smoking. im getting so sick of this. ive made sure everytime that the gasket surfaces were old gasket free and clean. nothing is marred. the first time i used the "make a gasket goo" and it worked for like a month. 2nd time was factory gasket as well as 3rd and 4th. im thinkn bout dealing with it leakin for a lil while and saving up to do a 5mt swap...... any thoughts? or suggestions? like i said im at my wits end! thanks guys! -jarrid

question about voltage
95legwagon replied to 95legwagon's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXwell thats the thing....i have 14.3v on the back battery but only 13.6 @ highest on the front battery..... btw the battery boiled over once and i filled it the next day with bottled water n ran it.....didnt think it damaged it because it still charges the same and sits @ the same voltage and holds voltage when the car isnt running pretty well

ground wire
i would do the big 3.... it helps with charging and grounds. 1. connect 8 gauge wire from neg battery term. to body 2. connect 8 gauge wire from body to engine block (the closer to the alternator mount the better) 3. connect FUSED 8 gauge wire from alternator charging post straight to pos. battery. ( when i say fused i mean whatever your alt can put out in amps go like 5-10 amps fuse rating above that) you dont hafta run a fuse if you dont want to but i would.... (even though i dont) lmao edit: if you dont follow what im saying just google "the big 3"

ground wire
it goes to the body and if its connected to the body already then the other end goes to the neg. side of the battery

Now what?
95legwagon replied to Arty's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXyes you would need a fuel pressure guage....but i believe you could "borrow" that from autozone for a small fee. i *think* its supposed to be around 40-45 psi but i could be wrong
