I have to ask. how hard was doing the lift? i have been thinking about it. Was extending the steering column hard? I mean I am 17 and don't really know much at all. and this is my only car ahahaha.

what kinda tires are you running? and are those just the stock 13" wheels? do you have a lift on that?

Yeah sometimes my 4wd green wheel indicator lights don't go but i just wiggle the 4wd and it will go most of the time. i dont care though cause its still in 4wd haha

where did you get a replacement for the choke?

What kinda lift you got on that? Also where can i get a legit push bar fabricated?

Same issue! Is it easy to completely take apart the carb and clean it?

It's my name on another forum, and it's kind of an inside joke between some friends and I. I'm living in Vancouver, WA right now. Picked this up on craigslist like two or three days ago. However I am moving to Big Sky, MT (hour south of Bozeman) on Sunday. Thanks I love this thing. Only problems are the drivers seat is a little shot so if I can find one that drops in real easily i might do that. Do any of the newer subarus seats swap in easily? And the carb seems a little old, has trouble ideling when first starting up and accelerating from the first couple stops in the morning is chugging. But once she warms up its good. Also has a clunking from what i think to be the suspension in the back right? Is that normal? My friend has a late 80's Mercury Sable wagon that does that sound as well?

found it. I think my carb just needs some rebuilding. I dont have time right now. But eventually i will try and figure it out.

Just bought my first car. Of course it was a suby. Unfortunately when your in high school, you can only afford so much. I Bought this 1987 Subaru GL 4wd 5 speed manual Wagon! It's not that pretty but hey, it has 4wd, 30 mpg, and it runs! I guess I plan on doing stuff to it. I don't really know what yet. Here is a small list. I am wondering where the throttle cable is on my 87 gl and where the idle screw is? any help?
