  1. answer this. save 3k, sell my car and buy a Subaru 2.5rs or save 6k, use 1k to buy a beater to drive while I use the other 5k to drop an EJ205 into my EA82 ?????
  2. Alright Still in consideration. But new fuel pump comes tuesday. crossing fingers that solves my starting issues and random dying on the road issues. Then I am gonna look into the suspension related clunk in the front. Once i get there I am gonna post an ad as a feeler on craigslist to see if I could sell it and for how much. Then seriously debating whether I should save up and sell my car to get a 2.5rs.......or I have a buddy that wants to help me put an EJ engine in my car. specifically his old EJ205. He thinks we could do it for around 5k. (accurate?) this is what he drives. so the next step i guess would be to figure out the 5 lug swap. I have been reading up but it is confusing.
  3. lawl haha Well i know that is not the problem cause my fuel hose from the tank to the fuel filter was cracked and fuel was dripping into a tub all day. haha. the pump just isnt pushing it through. Oh well i have a new pump coming!! WOOOO
  4. alright. so I tried to wire it the other way. nope i had it wired correctly. Then i place the inlet hose of the pump in a spare gas can and pointed the outlet hose into a tub. Cranked the car and i can hear the pump go, but no fuel comes out the other side. Isn't that they tell tale sign of a bad pump? I bought just a generic low end one from rock auto? Well called up rock auto. They are giving me a refund and i dont even have to send the part back. Sickk. Ordered a new pump with the harness already on it so i wont have to splice. Sweet. fingers crossed
  5. This car literally gives me every problem i could ever have. I hate it. I am going to sell it. I am just too frustrated.
  6. im currently at 1 1/2 turns out. idling at around 700 fully warm.

So i installed a new fuel pump. vroom started right up drove around and she performed amazing. rad for a long while. then I tinkered with the jets, cleaned the engine, times it etc. Found oil from the pcv, fixed that. Then I went back out the the car to start it, and it wont start..... pull off fuel line and nothing is coming out when i crank it over. And I heard the fuel pump going! What the heck. What is stopping the fuel? Okay took off the hose right after the fuel pump and pointed it into a tub. Cranked and fuel dribbled out. shouldn't it be shooting out? it was dripping not even a stream. clarification, when i re wired the new pump into the old harness the black and white wire was positive and went to brown, and the black to black? correct?

  9. New description. when i turn and it's under power and low speeds it's like a triple pop/clunk.

  14. Well still don't know what it is? are struts a possibility? I also read something about hydraulic lifters not getting enough oil? So far it hasnt been - axle, bearings, or cone washer.
  15. ahaha. But im talking how big of a sidewall could I go to and still fit in the wheel well?
  16. Found some 16" steel six lugs. and am doing a 2 inch lift. Would they work. its the right bolt pattern and good offset. But what kinda tire would I need?

  18. can you get a video of clunk. I want to hear if it is like mine. also try putting weight in the car and seeing if it changes.
  19. Anyone know of a rallycross or rally in Montana. Looking to get involved/ help start one. I live in sout Montana. Near Bozeman
